POPULAR: What Did You Write Today?

Finally finished the first scene in the latest chapter of my Pokemon fic, and actually finished the first chapter of my upcoming Love Live fanseries. But I'm going to hold off on posting it until I... 1. Write several more chapters, 2. Officially finish MarJour, as I want to finish it and other fics before committing to another long fic.
That makes sense. It's smart to wait until you finish a story before you post it.

Finished the next chapter of Chaos Rising ("Aftermath").

The five Demon Generals report back to Infinator about the fall of the Chaos Chimera and the reveal of Celtic's true power. Infinator confirms that he was afraid that Celtic knew how to draw out his true Chaos breed power. However, despite the Chaos Chimera getting defeated quicker than expected, Bronwen's plan still succeeded, as not only did Infinator get a bevy of souls to feed on, but the dimensional walls between Zakota and the Demon Realm have been weakened once again. This means that Infinator's plan to get access to the Demon Realm can resume. Meanwhile, Celtic and his party have been aiding in the relief efforts, rounding up survivors to feed and heal, along with the fact that every race and nation, including the Light Elves, have banded together to help in this catastrophe. After two weeks for this King Duskbane reveals that he, along with King Alvin and King O'Connell, are sending the Shroud Hero party to take a vacation at the Infinity Mountain Hot Spring Resort, the most prestige resort on Zakota, to rest and recover from their countless hours of hard work. The Shroud Hero party is eager for the chance to rest and recharge in the special healing waters and spa at the resort. They also learn that Eric's party had been arrested and was now being questioned about their role in the Chaos Chimera's release, while confirming that Ryan's party were among the casualties of the beast, though Wench is still on the loose. They also learned that, despite the Chaos Chimera going down in a span of two days, over 1,000 lives were lost, and that's not even the final number. The other four Heroes are still in a coma, too. The Shadokor are going to pick up the slack for a bit while Celtic and his party get some well-deserved rest. The next chapter, "A Hero's Reward", will feature said vacation for the Shroud Hero party.

Wrote a couple paragraphs for one of the later chapters of aigad. This comic chapter it’s based off in particular is quite tricky for me to write as I don’t think I fully understand the main protagonist’s motivations for willingly landing themself in hot shit (especially when they’ve been through the same thing twice prior and those incidents didn’t go very well), so this time I’m just focusing on the parts I can write (the one where they meet the chapter’s main antagonist and proceed to get their ass kicked). Not quite at the they-get-their-ass-kicked part yet, but eventually.

I wrote 1206 words this evening for a one-shot idea I came up with around a month back. I had almost forgotten about this idea but when I was sorting through my documents I discovered it again and I was like 'Oh wait this is cool." Glad I found it and only wish I was awake enough to write more.

Wrote the next chapter of Chaos Rising ("A Hero's Reward"). I had technically started it on Monday, but due to bad insomnia and quite the busy week I didn't have time to finish it until now.

Anyway, this is a very relaxed chapter. The Shroud Hero party are escorted to Infinity Mountain Hot Spring Resort so they can get some well-deserved rest for a few days. King Duskbane personally escorts them there and explains part of its history to them, while members like Skye express excitement at being in the most prestige resort in Zakota. Turns out the hot spring is a mixed bathing one, so the party bathes together, showing just how close they've all become, effectively their own little family. As she scrubs Celtic's back, Skye gets a good look at how his robotic arm is attached to the rest of him, noting that it looks kinda clunky, given the extra metal that takes up part of his shoulder and the surrounding area. Celtic explains that when he created the arm there wasn't a "perfect" method to attach it, thus it looks clunky, but it's actually better equipped than it looks. Leon and Viola also get some time to explore their relationship while at the resort. Despite relaxing, Celtic can't help but fume at the destruction and suffering that the other four Heroes caused with the Chaos Chimera. Later on Leon gives Celtic an idea to find a way to bring the spa back with them: have the Shroud's core absorb something from the resort and see if it creates spa-related powers. Celtic does exactly that, gaining three new Shroud powers by absorbing some of the hot spring water, a hot stone for hot stone massages, and a bottle of massage ointment, though the latter two were by accident. That way they can bring part of the spa to help ease the suffering of others. After four days passed King Duskbane returns to bring the Shroud Hero party back, as the people are depending on them to be beacons of hope during this time. The next chapter, "The Half Dragon Killer", is another idea based off of another user I know from elsewhere (the same one who created the idea for the Frigid Flame Dragon chapter), involving a plot by Robert to get rid of Celtic once and for all.

Wrote the next chapter of Chaos Rising ("The Half Dragon Killer"). Like normal with me, I started it yesterday evening but finished it today. This idea is also not mine but another user's from another hangout of mine that I've modified to fit the story's context, so credit goes to him.

Anyway, Robert is at it again. This time he's hired an infamous, if not outright legendary assassin named Kei (aka: Half-Blood Kei) to kill Celtic and his party, along with retrieving the Tek-Pak and have it brought to him (so he can get the three Karma Diamonds inside of it). In exchange she'll get treasures beyond belief. Turns out he had also managed to find and recruit several straggling members and believers of the Four Stars Church, which hints to something big later on. Meanwhile, Celtic and the others are still tending to the survivors of the Chaos Chimera rampage. Wench had been reportedly spotted by a traveling merchant, in the company of Marvin and the rest of Jerry's party but they beat a quick retreat before they could be tracked down, indicating that they're up to something. We also get the return of Kainu, the monster expert and scientist, who had noticed that the monsters have not only gotten more aggressive, but stronger after the Chaos Chimera's rampage. Zuzu mentions that the same thing happened when the Chaos Chimera rampaged last time 300 years ago, but she largely didn't pay much mind to it as it wasn't something that really concerned her back then. However, it's at that point Kei attacks, severely hurting Kainu. Kei is revealed to be half-dragon, which, unfortunately, means killing her it out of the question because that means she's under the protection of the Dragon Emperors, specifically Gigalyth the Dragon Emperor of Earth, as explained by Tiamat. Kei is aware of this and has been abusing her "status" in order to satisfy her bloodlust and desire for treasures. The battle begins. Kei does what would largely be considered impossible at this point without defense piercing/reversing attacks: hurt Celtic to the point he's actually bleeding in various places. Kei lives up to her draconic strength and is able to keep jumping back into the fray despite any injuries. She's ultimately subdued by Kainu throwing a special tonic at her that weakens dragons and cuts them off from their abilities, allowing her to be arrested and taken to one of the special dungeon cells that the Druids modified to negate all abilities and powers, thus rendering her powerless. Kainu is healed by Viola but is still taken to the hospital for tests and other treatment to be safe. Robert learns of Kei's defeat and is far from pleased about it. The next chapter, "Bronwen Strikes Back", features another one of Bronwen's plans against the Heroes' faction.

Well, unintended hiatus was unintended... been a rough couple of weeks... Anyway, about a dozen or so words written, but decided to proofread once more to try to get Umi and Kira back as my confidence of writing them is not high enough, though much higher than the proofread pass from my previous posts. Some tweaking and fixes also have occurred, but it's sort of a given.

Wrote the next chapter of Chaos Rising today ("Bronwen Strikes Back").

The chapter beings with Sylph, Alastor, and Bronwen discussing what is needed for the next phase of Infinator's plans. Bronwen sends Alastor to "challenge" the Shroud Hero to a fight to test if his weakness to psychological attacks is still useable. She gives him a fake Karma Diamond to use as bait. Meanwhile, Celtic and his party are still tending to the survivors when a Phantom Bat appears and "delivers" Alastor's message to a fight, stating it'll take place at the abandoned Seraph Abbey, the former Four Stars Church's main abbey, with the Karma Diamonds as part of the wager. Celtic and his party accept as they figured that, despite it obviously being a trap, this way they could either get rid of Alastor for a bit or keep him from coming to Delgunner to terrorize and already shaken populous. Celtic shows that he's been tutored by the Shadow Sentinels to perfect Shadow Warp and takes them to Seraph Abbey, as this is the first time they've been there (as the last time they were trying to avoid it when heading to Delgunner's capital to punish the Light Elves for their crimes against him). He succeeds... to a degree, as his aim is still somewhat off, but they make it to the abbey before Alastor does regardless. When Alastor arrives the battle begins. He summons various Phantom Bat family monster, along with using Kill Weed seeds that Bronwen had gathered for extra firepower. After the first wave of enemies are defeated he summons his trump card: Gengar Bats, in hopes of exploiting Celtic's weakness to mental attacks. This time, however, Celtic manages to resist the ability and kills the Gengar Bats himself, ending their threat. Skye then slices off Alastor's right arm, as it was holding the "Karma Diamond", forcing him to summon more Phantom Bat monsters to distract them while he reattached his arm and fled. After the battle Celtic and Zuzu are both suspicious that Alastor abandoned the "Karma Diamond" so readily, with Celtic's stat vision revealing it to be a ready-to-blow Leech Crystal. He summons the Meteor Barrier power from the Meteor Shroud to protect his party and detonates the Leech Crystal. However, just as he's about to collect samples from the Kill Weeds and the Leech Crystal for his Shroud he suddenly falls to his knees. The ability of the Gengar Bats' mental attacks caught up to him, resulting in a delayed reaction to their effects, thus proving that he's still vulnerable to it, with the Mind Ring he got helping delay the effects. Regardless, this is considered an improvement. He regains his bearings and the party returns to Delgunner, though a hidden Phantom Bat recorded everything and reported back to Alastor and Bronwen, the latter now knowing that Celtic is still weak to psychological attacks which she plans on exploiting in future plans. The next chapter, "The Heroes' Awakening", will feature the other four Heroes finally coming out of their coma, the fallout of their actions, and the start of what is tentatively called the Fugitive/Redemption arc.

Wrote some notes on aigad chapter 1, splitting what I have currently written + what needs to be written into 4 sections, and then threw what I had written for section 3 from January across the room.

For some god-forsaken reason, I decided to start on section 2 and wrote a few paragraphs on that last night, stopping just before the major event of the section because I needed sleep (and now I still need sleep, thanks past me).

Finished the proofreading, tried to pick up where I left off, and then had disruptions that threw off the rest of the day. Thinking I might scrap everything I wrote yesterday and today, since it still doesn't feel right.

Wrote the next chapter of Chaos Rising today ("The Heroes' Awakening").

Celtic and his party are still taking care of the survivors. Ike runs up and informs him that the other Heroes are finally coming out of their comas and King Alvin requests the Shroud Hero party to come with him. After meeting up with King Alvin the Shroud Hero party enters the Heroes' hospital room. There, Celtic gives them a very cold "Reason You Suck" speech for their role in the Chaos Chimera's rampage. The Heroes try to deny it, blaming it on Bronwen, but considering that they took her bait and swallowed it whole out of jealousy and pride that they're just as responsible for the destruction and death as the Demon Generals are. Celtic pretty much spells it out to them that the world hates them and wants them to pay for that they did, though because they're Heroes they cannot be executed, which is what most people are asking for. After this Celtic and his party leave while King Alvin attempts to have his men arrest the Heroes, stating that they are not above the law. The Heroes, in a panic, reveal that they now have Wrath Fire under their belts and use it to escape, teleporting shortly afterward. Celtic and his party quickly return to learn the news, and they also learn that the tracking devices the Shadokor had planted on them were destroyed during the Chaos Chimera incident. This means they can't track the Heroes who are now on the loose with a new, dangerous Demon magic spell at their disposal, which can cause even more problems as they're not immune to the side-effects of Demon magic like Celtic and Zuzu are, sans Chaos Blood Curse. Now the Shroud Hero party has a new mission: find the escaped Heroes before they cause anymore problems. The next chapter, "The Lost Heroes", will be the results of the Heroes' escaping.

Only notes for a future Aerosteel scene, unless you want to count the few newlines I put in to give me space to try to fix the dialogue from the past couple days.

I wrote almost an entire 5.1k word chapter today. Like, almost all of it. The only things that weren't written before I started was the first scene of around 75 words, the first two sentences in the second scene, and a bit of point form dialogue none of which I ended up keeping.

Shoutouts to being super motivated and on a roll, as well as editing later because it's bound to be rough in a few places.

So I edited a battle scene that I had previously written out and added in some changes to make a full chapter. About 2,500 words. Then when I posted, my story got removed as spam again.

That's my luck, lol.

And now, I'm going through the next chapter.
