POPULAR: What Did You Write Today?

Nothing yesterday, had a tension headache, though I think it was yesterday that I thought to maybe fast forward a week to make it a little easier to set it up. 257 words today after deciding that I don't really need to fast forward and to just detail the process, which would probably be the best lead-in. Had to also do a bit of research and figuring out before I was able to write the majority of the words.

Wrote just over 1.1k for a little fluffy oneshot between two OCs, and in other news, I found out how to be sorta angry for a hot minute and wrote a couple paragraphs of rsfs chapter 2. Nowhere near done with that flaming mess, but that’s fine.

Just posted a 4K+ word chapter for "Stray." Was tired for the last couple of days, so I made up for today. Posted an old banner I once commissioned and story got flagged for spam again. I can't use the banner in my signature yet since I don't meet the post requirements, so I guess that's a later thing.

Much of the chapter was prewritten, but I did quite a bit of editing for this one. Has a lot of exposition (maybe a bit too much) but I hope it pushes the lore forward and gets the plot moving at least. The next few chapters are going to be a lot of character moments and action sequences.

My thought process jumped ahead and helped me plan out the "less important" bits of the next chapters to somehow keep the story engaging. I'm trying to take advantage of this streak I've been having lately before my creativity goes braindead again and I'd hate for that to happen. This story has been literally sitting in my head for over ten years, lol. Not kidding. It's caused me physical pain.

Deciding what setting the foster home will take place in.

Wayne's goal is to be a journalist on people and pokemon, reporting and investigating on the latest news.

Changing the OC's pokemon teams and some names. Some of the canon characters will nickname their own pokemon.

Had a little thought for one of aigad’s later chapters and wrote down a quick paragraph for that before the thought disappeared.

Update, four hours later: Had a bout of restlessness and decided to second draft whatever I have written for aigad chapter 1 early, and at current I’ve got 631 words down, stopping just before the part where Napstablook enters the MTT resort because I’m not sure how to describe the resort’s exterior at the moment. Also had a little bit of a realization that my book copy of the comic apparently has two pages of chapter 1 swapped (which doesn’t even affect flow so I didn’t notice until now), so I went to swap some dialogue positions in rsfs because I had used the book as a reference for the dialogue. Thankfully that’s all I had to do, but boy if I didn’t throw a mini fit over it.

By the power of my math teacher iced milo, freezing fingers and a much-needed walk, I got shit written today! Hallelujah! Finished out the first major half of aigad chapter 1 in terms of first drafting, and since I have most of the second half written already, all I need to do is patch up the blanks and tweak scenes, and then I’ll be good to second draft this shit!

Wrote 167 words for the death scene in the second half of aigad chapter 1, just enough to finally write the death but not yet reaching the interesting part of the chapter (and the comic itself). It’s kinda occurred to me that I may have some pronoun issues springing up since both Mettaton and Frisk/Chara are referred to as they (from the perspective of Napstablook), I’ll probably fix this later during editing.

After a particularly stressful work week, a stressful day today and stumbling through a fight scene, I only managed to churn out about 500 words in a week. My story is already overdue for an update and I need to clear this one necessary chapter to get to some more interesting content.

Wrote some 367 words of some OCs gardening, because why not. Look, I’ve gotta balance out aigad’s angsty trainwreck with something that doesn’t involve massive amounts of introspection and emotion, so my beloved reality-bending OCs doing mundane hobbies it is.

Finally got back to writing now that most of my RL events are over, thus I finished the next chapter of Chaos Rising ("The Lost Heroes").

The chapter begins with Celtic contemplating on where the other Heroes have gotten to, as it's only been a day since they vanished. Ike runs up to him and tells him that while there are warrants for the Heroes arrests, some smaller kingdoms are taking it a step further and have put bounties on their heads. This isn't good as it could cause less savory or opportunistic people to try to hunt the Heroes down for quick gold, only to potentially get hurt or even killed by Wrath Fire. As a result, Celtic knows he has to find the Heroes before that happens. We then shift to Ryan, who is on the run from a group of adventurers who are after him for the aforementioned bounty. He manages to shake them for the time before reflecting on how he ended up here, including his past life, as he reveals he was possibly murdered by a serial killer back on Earth before getting summoned to Zakota, thus was essentially given a second chance at life by becoming the Sword Hero. The next day Celtic and his party learn that Ryan had been spotted at Palo Woods near the small Palo Kingdom, which is nestled in Wichwoode's territory. Celtic reveals his plan on how to lasso the Heroes in: he'll track down a Spiria and bond with it temporarily to use as a secret test of character to see if the Heroes are worthy of one last chance. If the Spiria bonds with the respective Hero, then that proves they are worthy of redemption. They head to Crescent Moon Forest to try to find a Spiria, which they do, before Celtic uses Shadow Warp to get them to Palo Woods to begin their search for Ryan. The next chapter, "Rescuing Ryan", will feature the aforementioned search to save Ryan before he gets into anymore trouble.

Forgive the double post but I got the next chapter of Chaos Rising done today ("Rescuing Ryan").

Anyway, the Shroud Hero party is continuing their quest to find Ryan in the Palo Woods before he gets into any more trouble, dealing with monsters along the way. They encounter some adventurers who were after Ryan as well but got on the business end of Wrath Fire, inflicting them with terrible Curses and burns. Celtic explains what the attack was and Leon heals them to the best of his ability before sending the adventurers off to fetch Holy Water in order to heal the wounds completely, thereby "removing" some "competition" in the hunt for Ryan. Meanwhile, Ryan runs into a gang of bandits who plan to turn him in because his bounty is larger than theirs combined, hoping it'll exempt them from prison in the process. Ryan makes his escape by using Chain Catcher to completely immobilize the bandits, leaving them to the mercy of the monsters. Fortunately for the bandits, Celtic and his party appear, though Skye identifies them as the Skull Arcobaleno Gang, who are wanted in many locations. Celtic and his party threaten them in exchange for information on Ryan, which the bandits give them. Celtic then uses his new Shadow Caller Flute to summon Shadow Sentinels to drag the bandits back to Delgunner, wanting them out of the way along with wanting their bounty as a bonus, showing his devious side that Zuzu compliments him on. Now that they know were Ryan headed off to, they continue their search. The next chapter, "Reforging Ryan's Soul", will feature the conclusion of the Shroud Hero party's hunt for Ryan.

Forgive the now triple post but I got the next chapter of Chaos Rising done today ("Reforging Ryan's Soul").

The chapter opens up with the Shroud Hero party still looking for Ryan in Palo Woods. They identify that they are indeed near where the Chaos Chimera rampaged, thus worry that Ryan could become unstable at the thought of his lost party members. Ryan himself eventually figures out that he's where he and the other Heroes fought the Chaos Chimera and hopes that he can find some peace at his party's "graves". He discovers that some Green Orcs are messing around in that area, much to his fury, and brutally kills them in order to preserve the "graves". Celtic and the others finally catch up to him, much to Ryan's relief. Celtic informs him that, while his status as the Sword Hero is so low it's in the sewers, there is still a chance to turn it around, making Ryan hopeful. Celtic then tests him with the Spiria he picked up beforehand, revealing it to be a Nature Spiria name Juniper. If Juniper accepts Ryan and bonds with him then he's worthy of one last chance. After a tense minute the Spiria accepts and bonds with Ryan, allowing the Sword Hero to finally break down and release all his bottled up emotions. Celtic and his party then make gravestones for the lost party members to honor them, much to Ryan's gratitude. Celtic then "arrests" Ryan with Dark Chains, though it's only for show, while informing him of what will happen next for the Sword Hero. Ryan accepts it if it means he can atone and rebuild his reputation, wanting to become a true Hero. Celtic and co escort him back to Delgunner where King Alvin puts Ryan under house arrest until further notice, but is pleased to see Ryan's resolve, along with the fact that the Sword Hero now has a Spiria to prove he's willing to change for the better. The next chapter, "A Hero's Redemption", will feature Ryan's quest to redeem himself to the world and become a real Hero.
