As I expressed in the general discussion thread for SwSh, I'm not too keen on Turner being the art director. I'm pretty certain the cartoon-y feel of this generation's Pokemon designs stems from his influence. And while I feel that the region design is nice and that it was a smart decision to have a British native have artistic control of the British region, I don't think Galar is any better or worse than other regions artistically speaking.

I loved the new art designs, Gigantamax and Dynamax. All great for me I had more problem with the choice of types, but more with abilities and moves effects, additions this generation. James Turner did a good job here.

The new abilities and moves are a little below gen 7 and gen 6 level for me.

Missed oportunities with Drum Beating, Resonance, Snooze, Snipe shot, Dragon Darts, Bulletproof, Soundproof and other moves and abilities to shine more.
