What do you think of Type-based Invincibility?

Corrosion literally works on only toxic.

this generation yes, but next one can change that.

maybe we will get more Corrosion users? one mega and maybe some new ones.

Poison Powder?

can you Imagine Baneful Bunker+ Corrosion?
( I want a water/poison hippo starter with that combo)

Plus we may get other type based moves that cause poison status like Twineedle (bug).
Imagine a ground(Tar Pit- power 70, hits only pokes using special attacks and blocks their move),
steel (Quick silver special priority signature move),
ice (some fluids are poison and can freeze),
ghost , electric, fire or rock type move that may poison the foe?

Nothing's ever implied that it would. You can't base an opinion on a hypothetical-you could say literally anything might change in the next gen.

  1. and Flying: Invulnerable to Ground-type attacks. (Smack Down and Gravity but there should be something better or they could work better)
Or if they're passed an Iron Ball, or affected by Thousand Arrows/Thousand Waves.
  • Normal: Invulnerable to Ghost-type attacks. (there is no way to use ghost type moves on them only Curse(should be a priority move))
The whole point of priority moves is that they'll damage the target before the target can damage the user. Curse cuts the user's HP and lays a curse that damages at the end of a turn. It'd gain nothing from being a priority move. (not to mention the disaster priority Curse would be on non-Ghost types)

future is the future, my opinion is my opinion only.

Why you don't think that Telekinesis should work on Levitate and Flying foes? If you can make something fly then why not bring it then down with some more damage?

Priority Curse on non ghost types would rise defence status ? yes ? thats really so bad?
and ghosts would get a buff and nerf taking that now we have a terrain and abnilities to take care of priority moves.

???? Telekinesis was never brought up in this thread. And it actually does affect Levitate users and Flying-types.

A priority move raising two stats would be awful, yes, especially given how much it's used competitively. Making Curse a priority move gives an unnecessary edge to people setting up stat boosts. Unless someone had a strong priority move to take them out (the only one being ExtremeSpeed), they're going to be able to increase their stats without any cost whatsoever.

And on top of that-the whole reason Curse also lowers non-Ghost users' speed is because its Japanese name is a pun that means both Curse and Slow. There's no reason a move named Slow should go before most others.

The terrain that prevents priority moves is Psychic Terrain. Anybody setting that up is more than likely going to be using a Psychic-type, and who would place a Curse on a Psychic type when they could just take one-shot them with a STAB move?

if smack down or gravity occurs it should be with greater damage in my opinion.

"The user makes the target float with its psychic power. The target is easier to hit for three turns."
does? what does it do with their ability to use flying type moves or ground immunity? I would like to see something.

yes you are right, the psychic type terrrain would need to be more like Misty terrain and half the ghost (maybe also dark) type damage , like Misty does with the dragon type already...

the Curse thing was only a idea, it is nice that the target takes the dame every turn till it switches out and that it rises non-ghost stats.
But what would you say if Curse also could cause the target to flinch? with 10% chance of happening if used by a ghost type? or if used in the first turn-only with 50%?
This way Deciduey and slower ghost would have a good usage for it, or make the flinching chance depend on the speed difrence between user and the target.

(grass would need more flinching(grass based) and switching moves for a buff, the same for bug-special flinching moves)

I though that was lame with spirit shackle, think if a pokemon is already trapped it would be cool if it would do something else to a already trapped pokemon. Theoretically if something wanted to escape the same turn spirit shackle is used it should become a priority move to prevent that happening or if the target is already trapped it could reduce its speed status or something that kind.(with the effect it already has)
