Well, Madoka Magica was released in April 2012 onward in DVDs in Australia, and it was broadcast in abc3 in January 2013, where it was strangely rated as a PG despite the fact that the DVDs were rated Mature.
... What? There is no way that'd have been released without editing... The Australian Classification Board has RC'd things that are a lot less graphic!

To be fair, it may simply be a case of Animation Age Ghetto for the latter case (abc3 showing Madoka Magica), and the Mature rating in the DVDs was probably enough anyway.
According to Wikipedia, it was released with a PG (Equiv to the US Teen rating) rating.... Based on your sig alone, it deserves at least MA15+...!

Based on Signature alone? That just sounds a bit ignorant. Also, in MyAnimeList.com, Madoka Magica is rated R 17+. Ya satisfied?
