What has annoyed you the most since HG/SS?

I'd say the mother's constant spending of my money, but then I walked into the Pokemart in Ecruteak to find she had bought me a choice scarf. I hadn't even had all the badges yet.

THE SPRITING!!!!!!!!!!
It's constantly pissing me off with all the terrible sprites that they have made...

The pokegear.

You get a map which you always get, a phone that allows you to rematch (like the pokenav) but you get calls all the goddamn fucking time. Most of mine are from joey. (STOP TELEPHONIN ME-E-E-E-E-E-E) And then you get a radio which is the most useless thing to be invented since a segway.

Seriously. The poketech was better by degrees.

The fact that like half the gym leaders will only fight you before 10am.... i get a little sick of constantly fighting Sabrina on sunday "around noon"...

And how difficult it is to move pokemon around in the box. I love the touch screen but they have designed it poorly, requiring far too many button pushes.

Button pushes? If you use the touch screen the way it is meant to be used, it's a really quick process.

Mom buying me Full Restores and Evolutionary stones and all sorts of awesome stuff... FOR A WHILE. And then just berries! I've never been a big fan of berries, but they're not even berries I would use!

What bugs me is that my damn in game mother only buys me berries. Berries that i have not even used. I think she has given me like 1 item that was not a berry.

No plot line in Kanto. The most pressing things you must do in Kanto is walking to each city so that you can fly to it later. You can do the first 7 Kanto badges in pretty much any order you want which seems pointless.

Voltorb flip. I like the game, but it being there doesnt make nearly as much sense as the casino type game corner. The Voltorb flip version of it makes no sense really, you are not paying any pokedollars to play but yet you can get prizes (including pokemon). It made much more sense when they were giving pokemon away as a prize for a casino type money making scheme, assuming that most people would spend more money getting the coins than the prize is worth.

Youngster Joey

Mainly though fighting level ~30 pokemon in Victory Road while trying to get ready for the E4, and especially Lance whose got the cheap set of 49 and 50 Dragonites.

Even worse is that it doesn't get any better after that with mid-40s level pokemon in Mount Silver, the supposed scariest place in Johto that you have to get special permissions to visit. Yet I could have taken them out without issue before my first E4 trip.

As a side note, I actually like Voltorb flip after I got the hang of it, only took me about 20 or 30 mins to get the 2100 coins for the dratini.

1. Dowsing MCHN. You can't fit "Machine" in there?
2. The random Capitalization of stuff. You obtained the Lost Item! It's even stupider considering that the "Lost Item" is the Clefairy Doll (does it need to be PokeDoll? A Clefairy PokeDoll? No duh, it's a doll of a Pokemon), so calling it "Lost Item" is just dumb.
3. Kanto is far too easy. I get tripped up a little on some Gyms. But I always get them the second try. And I did have a little trouble remembering what to do. I feel like I did something out of order. I didn't know how to get to western Kanto because the guard keeps blocking me from entering from Victory Road and I can't surf from Fuschia because it's under construction. Then I realized I had to fix the Power Plant, beat Misty, get the EXPN Card (again, "Expansion". And aren't all Cards, Expansion Cards? It should've been the Kanto Radio Upgrade Card or something), wake up Snorlax and then go through the Diglett Cave. Phew.

There's one thing from HGSS. Ok, so it may have been only in crystal, but...

They replaced the dancing surfing Rhydon of the dance theater with a Psyduck.
I used to visit the place just to see that Rhydon. It just isn't the same without it...

Biggest bummer was that I couldn't go and play with my Pokemon in the daycare. I was bummed when I found out that they got rid of that in GenIII, and I was really hoping they'd bring it back for HG/SS.

...the freaking. Encounter. Rates. Gaaahhh. I've gotten to the point where I'm careful to keep Max Repels on me at all times (GO AWAY ZUBAT >:|)

Nthing Youngster Joey. Just... Youngster Joey. Once I broke my habit of not picking up the phone for him, and he actually wanted to battle. I swear I nearly dropped the DS.

My biggest annoyance is the phone in the PokeGear. You CAN'T delete numbers and people randomly call you to tell you this completely stupid shit like "LOL THIS IS LYRA, MY MARILL JUST EVOLVED INTO AZUMARILL FOR LIKE THE 500TH TIME ROFL I'LL CALL YOU IN ANOTHER 5 MINUTES TELLING YOU THIS SAME THING KBYE"

-_-

Lyra said she saw it evolving, she very well could have cancled it before the evolution was complete, over, and over...

People, just don't answer the phone. It's easy :)

Platinum is annoying me because the save is messed up on it somehow. I will play an hour, save, then turn it back on later to find out it was for nought. I finally decided to quit pokemon till gen 5. Or until they release new info, which then I might get some pokes ready to send over.

That would be nice if I didn't have to turn my game volume down or if there was a Ignore feature that just stops the call without going into a building or a menu.

Nintendo just flat out failed here.
