What has annoyed you the most since HG/SS?

My biggest annoyance is how long it takes to 'finish up' the Pokethon. You slowly walk out and the lady tells you how many points you've earned, and then the 'got item' music plays. Then she tells you I got another 100 for finishing first... then the 'got item' music plays again. Honestly - I don't care just quickly add them to my total and let me back in. I never did the Pokethon in Pearl, because I never found it, but I discovered HG's right away.

That would be nice if I didn't have to turn my game volume down or if there was a Ignore feature that just stops the call without going into a building or a menu.

Nintendo just flat out failed here.

No different than original G/S and Emerald (except that phone calls seem more frequent in HG/SS).

If I get SS I'm gonna be smart and say 'No' when people ask if they want to trade numbers.

I never did the Pokethon in Pearl, because I never found it, but I discovered HG's right away.

It didn't exist until HGSS.


I dislike that:

You can't buy coins. (I like VF though)

Stupid phone calls. You can never tell when they want a rematch...

so no Vs Seeker

Only 4 berries at a time

Besides that, HGSS rocks!

-Mom, you can please stop buying me type-resist berries. I'm pretty sure I have at least 25 of each type. Only rarely does she get anything of worth. By "of worth" I mean anything that isn't a berry.

-The time delay when picking apricorns caused by the music. I play with music off so the little song is wasted.

-The Alliance

+Loved the follow feature although some sprites are a tad disappointing. I'm looking at you, Arcanine.

The only numbers I accepted were the ones that I had to accept cause I hated the phone calls when the phone was first introduced.

I really did not appreciate how the gym trainers would be like 20 levels higher than the surrounding wild pokemon and like 25 levels higher than the surrounding trainers.

It's also like all the story is in Johto only. You do all this stuff and then you get to Kanto and it's like all you have to do is turn on the power.

But! What I HATED the most was Sabrina's "re-vamp". She's still my favorite Gym Leader. I adored her conservative look because it was very fitting to who she is. Now, she just looks like some Beauty with glowing hands.

For this game, it seemed like most all of the really fun features were the ones that we can't do because of them being special events that are only available within certain time periods.

thing is, voltorb flip isnt all luck, i know, suprize, but slot machines pretty much all luck and i HATED THEM :sweat: anyways, what would be a good idea in the casino is both games to play

well...since playing SS, it's kind of bugged me that they haven't made a first gen remake to include the Orange Archipelago. i just really liked that series in the anime, and it would put the player in a considerably different atmosphere. they made a card set for it, but didn't include it in the games? i know some gym leaders had seriously weird challenges, but it's not as if they would have to keep it all canon to the anime. only Yellow version was canon to the anime. :\ i just think it would be fun.

My grievance with the Game Corner isn't Voltorb Flip or even the inability to buy coins, it's the obscenely high number of coins required to buy anything. Yes I understand they want us to keep playing the games, but seriously, 10,000 coins for a single TM? Ridiculous. I'd rather do WiFi trades for what I need than sit there playing VF for a week. Since they don't allow us to buy the coins anymore, they should have cut that 10,000 way down. I gave up after about 1800 coins because I just didn't want to play it anymore.

but other than that I'd say.....Nothing I like the games to much, although I would rather have gold then heartgold

The HG/SS versions of the songs used in the Battle Factory, Battle Arcade, and when you fight against the Frontier Brains. ;-;

Also Voltorb Flip. I'm horrible at it and it would be nice if we had a choice to play the slots and buy coins too.
