What i want for gen 9 anime

What i really want in 9th gen anime is for ash to never lose a battle!!!! Why does he always lose at least one battle, why can’t we have a generation where ash never loses and wins every battle he’s had????
Bruh, the only battle Ash has lost since ages is against Leon. You know, the World Champion? Don't see what's wrong in losing to someone who's more skilled than him as long as it's not done in a cheap manner. Also, if Ash never lost, his battles would become somewhat stale and predictable.

We're not even barely halfway through year 1 of Gen 8 and you're already speculating Gen 9 lol.

that battle was cheap, pikachu clearly had the advantage, he lost to a flying type!?!?!

That would be extremely boring. We root for protagonists because they lose sometimes, so that they can rise up again and have character development as a result of that defeat, making the eventual victory feel all the more deserved.

Charizard was clearly stronger, belonging to a World Champion and all, and also had way more experience in Dynamax battles. Type match-ups can only carry you so far if the difference in strength is too great.

Pikachu could beat regice, latios, tapu koko, and even freaking lusamine, but he can’t beat a pokemon thats weak to electricity, something an everyday player can beat even if they used a pikachu at lvl 100, which is what ash had. It’s stupid for a lvl 100 pikachu to lose against a lvl 60-65 charizard!!!! Plus ash is also a champion, he could’ve used boldore or greninja to destroy that charizard!!!!!!!!!

Levels don't exist in the anime. Not at least in the same way as in the games. We've had countless instances of a Pokémon at a disadvantage winning through in a battle in the anime, either through strategy or sheer difference in strength. Plus, as I said earlier, Pikachu was having his first proper battle in a battle format his opponent had waaay more experience in.

^ This ^ Ash needs to loose sometimes because if he always one he would probably become a pretty boring character. The battles shape his personality, who he is. If he suddenly became perfect at it he would grow pretty stale as a character.

Not to mention, it also makes him a pretty poor protagonist of a show that is more aimed for younger crowds. Ash was basically built as someone kids could look up to. He's strong and determined to win. When he falls, he gets back up to try again. If he were to win every battle, the very impressionable children watching the show might get the idea in their heads that they have to be perfect too.

In fact I want him to lose some matches since this will help him have some development.
I think for the time being, the writers are taking their time to show how good Ash is in comparison to Normal Class. As he goes through Super and Hyper Classes, the rivals and battles will get tougher. I imagine them making some sort of an arc for Riolu as well.

How do we know Pikachu is level 100? How do we know Charizard is level 60 ish? Why do we want to watch a show where Ash never loses a battle?!

Did you know that Pikachu can't hit 2 Kabutops from that one episode?

If Ash won every battle he would be incredibly boring to watch. There would be no stakes. Ash is a good trainer and protagonist because even when he does lose, he tries his best, the battles are fun and exciting to watch, and he doesn’t let it get him down, and even when he does take a loss personally, he learns from it and that makes him a better trainer.

Right now he’s at his peak, and like a comment earlier in this thread said, once he rises through the ranks, the battles will get harder. His progression in this series is different than every other because his position fluctuates and is always changing. He can go up the ranks and then be knocked down several times.

Because if Ash won every single battle in the entire series then it would be about as fun to watch as watching paint dry now, would it? There’s gotta be some stakes thrown into the mix and the World Championships is THE perfect opportunity to throw in just that.

Heck, not even Yami Yugi or Yusei Fudo (sure, he fell off his D-wheel during his first duel against Kalin but he was most likely gonna lose anyway) from the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise won every time (well, unless your name is Yusaku).

The Yu-Gi-Oh protagonists may actually win a bit too often, but that's not a topic to be discussed here.

Now if, when it came to Ash’s main rival it went back and forth with their victories. Not only does Ash losing each time u til their final battle make things predictable, but it doesn’t really make for a very entertaining rivalry since it never seems like Ash is pushing his rival always losing.

I would want a either ice desert land or a hot desert land... start with Ash losing Pikachu to a evil trainer (the next pokemon king host, from a new pokemon king) who takes part in league and needs to catch new pokemon and find a way to get his friend back from that one. only winnning a full battle can bring ash his pokemon back

gyms with focus on abilities, terrrains and weather all together (focus on one type but all pokemon are dual typed ),

more mono villians during play, some evil teams making returns

There's nothing exciting about watching Ash never lose a battle. I don't like to see him lose a lot, but he's gotta lose some battles, especially to rivals and such so it makes the eventual victory so much more satisfying. Look at Paul. He's lost probably 3 battles against Paul, including one major loss in the full battle, then finally defeated him in the League. those losses before made Ash's victory so much more satisfying.
