Hikarunara by Groose House

It's the OP song for Your Lie in April, and it's really good. The singers uploaded a vid of them singing the song live.

Number One - Ichigo's Theme by Hazel Fernandes.

An insert song from Bleach and Ichigo's theme song. I know it's not technically Japanese, but I think it still applies.

This song is badass. It plays when Ichigo's "Badassery" comes out ind he's ready to wreck everyone. If this was my theme song, imagine how much more badass I would be!!!

TK from Ling Toshite Shigure - Unravel (Tokyo Ghoul OP)
OLDCODEX - Dried Up Youthful Fame (Free! Eternal summer OP)
All Akuma no Riddle's ending song
Jin feat Maria from Garnidelia - Daze

"again" from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Also "Let It Out" and "Ray of Light," from the same anime.

StylipS - STUDY x STUDY. Okay, this is such a silly pop song that I can describe it as nothing but a guilty pleasure...but damned if it isn't dangerously catchy! I had never heard of StylipS before I came across this song, but after looking them up, it appears (at least at the time of this song's release), 2 of the 4 members are/were actually YuiKaori, interestingly enough. This song was used as the ending theme for Highschool DxD (hence the song title, I can only assume), though I admittedly haven't seen that it.

Silver Forest - 届かない永遠の距離. Classic Silver Forest off of one of their earliest vocal albums. This song doesn't have noticeable rock influence like you're likely to find in a lot other Silver Forest pieces, but it goes heavy on the electronic. Personally, I think it sounds awesome.

坂本真綾 - プラチナ. A very well-known song from Cardcaptor Sakura. Long ago, I used to like most of the other CCS singles more than this song. Now, all I can say is, what in the world was I thinking?! Maaya Sakamoto's voice is just so smooth and easy to listen to. But the best part of this song is the break at around 2:45. This passage really gets me pumped like very few other pieces of music can do. I love to listen to it while I'm out driving, though I'll normally start accidentally speeding as a result. :p Totally worth.

GO → Love & Peace by Ayano. The ending theme of Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 as well as the ED of Episodes 3 and 4 of Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation.

It's a nice and somber song with a nice story behind it. Also, in the game, Neptune and Nepgear made a promo video of this song in their HDD forms.

Here's the promo video.

I've really been addicted to Supercell. Well, I've been a fan for a long while, but I've had the entire discography on repeat lately. I've especially been listening to the most recent songs with Koeda on vocals (though I also love the earlier work with Hatsune Miku, and then yanaginagi). Historically, 君の知らない物語 (Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari) has always been by favorite piece, and is the song that got me really interested in the band. However, my current sentiments are shifting more towards the title pieces of the 告白 / 僕らのあしあと single. Here are 告白 (Kokuhaku) and 僕らのあしあと (Bokura no Ashiato), though I'm sure most already know them. The other song on the single, カレ (Kare), is also pretty good. I really love the emotion I can feel coming through Koeda's voice. Coming together with Ryo's genius, it's a no wonder how good these pieces are. (Actually, I've been getting into some of Ryo's other projects/contributions too, namely EGOIST, but I'll save that for another post).

I usually end up including some sort of trancepop song, so I'll say that KOTOKO's HALLUCINO has been really growing on me. It's another of KOTOKO's seemingly endless repertoire of songs that I had in my library, but had passed over for one reason or another. A chance shuffle encounter has caused me to give it the attention it deserves.
