What new item(s) would you create?

What kind of new item or items would you like to see being introduced in the Pokémon games? Perhaps a new held item to provide new possibilities for battling? Or a new kind of healing item? Feel free to leave your personal ideas here!
 
I would create something that can fuse two Pokemon together, but more universal, not the entire Pokedex, but making it so fusion is done on common Pokemon as well. A huge plus of it is that it can work as the item used after the DNA Splicers have fused Kyurem with either Reshiram or Zekrom, the new item would instead fuse either Black Kyurem with Reshiram or White Kyurem with Zekrom.
 
We're long overdue for a type-boosting item for Fairy-type moves, other than Pixie Plate.
Let's just make an item called the Cutesy Bow and be done with it
Similar to how Power Herb allows a Pokémon to skip the charging turn of a move once, how about a one-use item that allows the user to bypass a move's recharging turn?

items that allow pokemon to change forms,types and gain extra abilities but more different then megas, because removable, that could be stolen with moves and abilities like Magician or Kocked Off. Maybe deactivated with incinerate? Would make them last "5 turns"...
I imagine a pokemon gaining a second cool ability... (like Dynamax got a auto Inner Focus to flinching)

they would be maybe stronger or weaker then megas but weaker then others...

Could imagine hammer(mjolnir electric or steel depending on what pokemon attached), european long sword, arabian blade, samurai sword, french rapier sword , shield, dagger, arrow, Axe, Pickaxe, Scythe, Grapnel hook, lance, helmet, coat, armor, crystal ball , lamp, flute, drum, clock, gauntlet, harp, dream catcher, gloves, running shoes, belt, monocle, pendulum(Hypno), magic wand, scepter, magic staff, crown, shuriken, Carpet, Slingshot... (37)

Could be that human/trainer in ancient times together with legendary pokemon from their region worked together in harmony to battle against invaders from other regions or in a competition?(Galar, Alola, Kalos) As way that the regional pokemon and other have a way to compete with those. Their own secret. Some could be "ancient" and some could be crated nowdays by scientist:
(technological items, could be Tech-watch, Head Phones, mobile Phone, Back Pack, Jet pack, Skateboard, Solar Batery, Fire fighting vest, Snow googles)

That when combined with specific pokemon allows it to transform during battle, maybe total change of moveset during battle.
Maybe they could gain immunity to Z-moves or Max moves to make them relate to them somehow?
The same item could react with a other pokemon diffrently, or some pokemon coud use more items (thinking about the starters here)

A new item to fuse specific couples of pokemon and transform them during double battle into a specific stronger one Gigantamax or one Mega pokemon, some this and some that probably to make it interesting.
Fussion Ring, could be D-ring, DNA.

Invisibility cloak- hides the pokemon from oponent that you can send it and dont call it that the oponent needs to use a allways hitting move or ability or wait till your pokemon hits it with a physical move to reveal itself. (special moves allow to be still invisible, something for Decidueye)

Holly granade? when a pokemon fainst the item explodes doing a little damage to oponent but reducing his speed one stage?

Holly water? item that causes oponents ghost and fairy types to switch out when having physical contact with the user or when the user self uses water moves?

Red cape- when oponent has Anger point activated this item will reduce the chance of getting hit by their moves. Also would reduce ram based moves(full body hitting ones)

Smoke granade- when switching out your pokemon activates it, creates smoke veil for two turns to hide the next pokemon from the oponents sight (could be also created as a kind of ability for a new pokemon)

Fairy wings- allow user to levitate but when stolen or destroyed then oponent falls and get damaged.

Pendulum Clock- item for Hypno to make it steel and psychic type moves gain +1 priority and a boost of power 1,5x

Magnet wheels- items for cling clang, magneton, all steel giansts, golurk, this item protects against one steel and electric type move during whole battle and rises speed and sp. defense.

My idea is to make the fusions permanent but reversible.
 
How about some new choice items that boost Defense/Special Defense, making it ideal for tank-like Mons. The TCG has something along those lines (Choice Helmet, I believe, though I haven't had any interaction with the TCG since I was 15, so I could be wrong), so why not expand on that concept? Maybe something like Choice Armor or Choice Shield?
 
Shattering Crystal
This works as a combination with entry hazards like Spikes or Stealth Rock. When the user holding this item uses an entry hazard move, the Shattering Crystal is also tossed on the field. Afterwards, whenever a pokemon enters the battle, all Orbs they are holding will shatter and become useless (Life Orb, Adamant Orb, etc). Also affects items like the Light Ball, which is an Electric Orb in Japanese. This does not affect Mega Stones/Z-Crystals. Can be removed from the field by Defog and Rapid Spin.
 
crystal bands to allow pokemon to Dynamax or even G-max everywhere, to allow starters to get their joy.

Or experimental items for starters given to them by profesor to change their type and forms a little...

fusion forms for some pokemon pairs like the Minum and Plusle to combine in one pokemon during a double battle.
They could become a mega or gigantamax form depending what would suit them better... I think would be cool to have Hybrid, would work like a mega +gigantamax, last 3 turns, have bigger hp, stats changes and type change potentialy. Imagine Electric/fighting or Electric/steel and you could chose maybe between forms?
We have some of this pairs of pokemon that are good in doubles but rarely used... could be used in a new generation, use 8 or 10 old pairs of pokemon... and crate 6 new ones...
Could work that one pokemon needs the item that unites them both, or both could have it.

- a item that when a pokemon enters battle makes it a double battle for 5 turns and forces both users to call out more pokemon during that period.
could be called a Aliance Horn or Aliance Caller. Could be used once in battle. The user could switch out.

- item called Team Light- a red light causes a double battle- similar like the one before but would last till the user of the item faints in battle.(if it gets stolen cia theif, pickpocket or magician then the pokemon that took it needs to faint, if it gets knocked off it also stops to work and the extra pokemon are called back into their pokebals)

  • a Health Points(HP) Pokeball, that heals a pokemons HP when it gets switched back into it during battle, every turn.
  • a Status Healing (SP) Pokeball, that heals pokemons status conditions during battle, poison, burn, paralaze but takes away 1/8 hp in return.
  • a Status Setter Pokeball, that restores basic bad stats changes when called back into it.
  • Heat Ball, cause a pokemon to free from freeze status when switched back and called one more into battle but if used without freeze could have a chance of burning a pokemon.
(the backflash effect would be that some would cause pokemon to lose a turn to re-charge or cost hp )

-berries and potions that hurt the pokemon that consumes, use or gets them... to use with Switcheroo better.
imagine a bomb berrie that activates when switching pokemon

-items that when get via move or ability to oponent would trap,damage, switch them even in the proces...
