I have an outright starter trio of most hated Pokémon: Charizard, Greninja, and much more recently joined by Cinderace. Not quite the usual Grass/Fire/Water group but you get what I mean, I would rather pick up spilled sunflower seeds with boxing gloves than pick up one of those three evolution lines.
As an added reveal, Porygon2 is a distant but still very disliked fourth because I hate battling these originally-fully-evolved Eviolite abusers and because I'm not over that one PMD EoS Destiny Tower 84F loss from years back.
Very recently, I did not hate any Pokemon, per se. I just liked that they were Pokemon. But that recently changed with Munkidori. It looks like its wearing sandals and has no resemblance to a monkey. Really makes me appreciate Infernape and Rillaboom.
Eternatus. Its concept and the execution of it (Dynamax/Gigantamax/Eternamax) intruded every aspect of 6v6 gameplay possible, making the vast majority of possible formats incredibly busted. It even heavily contributed to making the standard 6v6 format nigh-infeasible for pvp in the Sword and Shield games as it could be used to stall out its 20 minute battle timer. Why does this matter? Because it's the default Pokémon battling format and the main way you battle in EVERY SINGLE Pokémon mainline game. Gamefreak also overloaded this thing with 1125 BST for no lore specific reason whatsoever. They just decided to invalidate every other Legendary Pokémon and make Arceus look like it belongs in Little Cup tier only to just end up being a boss you barely even have to fight in order to defeat. Does anything built up in legendaries and mythicals even matter anymore when one creature can randomly become 400 BST above everything else for no good reason at all? At least Mega Rayquaza and Ultra Necrozma's BSTs were still relatively close to Arceus.
Eternatus also took any real spotlight Zacian and Zamazenta could of had in expressing their lore thanks to defeating Eternatus being their sole purpose as legendaries. Pokémon Sword and Shield, alongside the Galar region, aren't really about Zacian or Zamazenta. It's about Eternatus and its sheer influence on the region. Eternatus itself hardly has anything of value to bring to the table when it comes to lore. Eternatus is just a random Pokémon from space brought solely to justify the Dynamax mechanic. No deep and interesting backstory unlike Necrozma, no crucial role in the overworld unlike Rayquaza, it's just "Here, this Pokémon makes everything go big. Have fun." Its ONLY purpose is Dynamax. It IS Dynamax. Necrozma was responsible for Z-Moves but the Pokémon had A LOT more to it than just this one trait instead of solely existing for Z-Moves. The games, manga, and anime have expressed all of this and I can explain in depth if anyone wants.
To me this Eternatus represents a lack of consideration Gamefreak had on several major departments. They failed to consider the value of legendary and mythical Pokémon, they failed to consider the major aspects of gameplay (6v6, 6v6 pvp), and they failed to consider the value of an actually engaging boss fight, instead of one hardcarried by 2 AIs. Eternatus could even be used to show a lack of consideration in smaller ways such as Dynamax proving Gamefreak could scale Pokémon sizes correctly on the Switch by ultimately choosing not to, making Pokémon like Wailord and Groudon still smaller than your normal adult human despite no longer having hardware limitations...
I hate Eternatus because it hampered major aspects of gameplay and created the biggest devaluation of anything regarding legendary/mythical Pokémon and their lore outside Koraidon and Miraidon. I see it as the biggest (not the only) reflection of what went wrong with Pokémon Sword and Shield. Its only purpose of existing was to make the game worse. It's not just a Pokémon I find annoying for petty reasons. It's a Pokémon who would've outright made the game better by never existing in the first place. Nothing could really be done to fix Eternatus without removing its entire concept entirely so... might as well remove it.
