GO What Pokémon do you think should be the future Community Day Pokémon?

With Pokémon GO's Community Day having starter-rare-starter-rare-starter-rare patterns, I think Kanto Starters are having their own each two months respectively. And since March 2018, this has to do with preparation for Mega Evolutions, given the featured Pokémon being from the family with Mega-Evolved forms, with Bulbasaur family, Mareep family and Charmander family being ones. I think Squirtle or Larvitar would be next since June's about summer as well. (Bulbasaur are pretty common in my area too.)

BTW, aside Kanto starters, what Pokémon do you think you want to be for Community Day?

For me, I got a few:
  • Eevee would be a good pick after Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle since he's the only Kanto starter (if you count him as rival's in Yellow) not planned for Community Day yet. Also, with Gen IV release (Gen IV is my least-favorite generation) making Eevee super rare, Trainers would be crazy getting some Shiny Eevee for colorful bunch of Eeveelutions.
  • Hoenn Starters (Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip) would have the same reason as the Kanto Starters.
  • Magnemite, although less likely, will be also a good one similar to Mareep.
I also think Johto starters won't be getting Community Days because of their lack of relevance. Unown, for the reason it's a weak Pokémon (worse than Magikarp) to begin with.

Do you have some?

There seems to be a pattern; starter, followed by 10km Egg rare (non-nesting) Pokemon, followed by another starter and so on. with each rare Pokemon being of a succeeding generation

That said, with May confirmed as Charmander, I'd expect June to be one of: Ralts, Beldum, Bagon, Trapinch, Slakoth. Feebas is probably a bad idea because of the walking needed to get one evolved with the special move.

Then July should be Squirtle, with Hydro Cannon as special move.

Not sure about August onwards. But most starters and rare Pokemon qualify for the future. I have a feeling that Eevee, albeit popular, is not going to ever get featured because it'd either require way too much special moves for each evolution, or just put it on the base Eevee where it won't see use anyway; but getting Shinies on that would be great.

I was betting for June to have Squirtle instead, though.
Trapinch, Feebas and Slakoth are bad idea too. Slaking isn't too useful at all though, and Flygon are only useful on some situations, so I ruled these two out.
I don't rule Ralts out because of Gardevoir's popularity. (And a competent Dragon Slayer).

I think Eevee will get one if they sort things done with Gen IV update. It's not too much problem, just they want to delay. (Maybe next year?)
But again Eeveelutions have no Mega Evolutions. So should I rule them out or not is under consideration.
I ruled out Johto and Sinnoh starters, and Slakoth and Trapinch too, because of lack of Mega Evolutions for their family. So maybe after Squirtle, the next one would be Treecko if it's starters.

Not being useful did not prevent them from featuring Pikachu/Mareep, though, so Trapinch/Slaking still seem quite possible. Especially the latter, with all the focus on its charge moves, with the fast one being Yawn, could work; Body Slam, for example, would make it a better defender as 3-bar move.

Mareep was due to Ampharos having Mega Evolution (as said above) so we need to save up candies. Yeah, if Gen 6 will cost us how many candies per Mega Stone is unknown, we have to save their candies up so we won't be in trouble.

For Pikachu, it was due to it being the starter in Yellow. But also if certain Alolan forms would make as branched Evolution when Gen 7 comes in next 2 years, Pikachu's evolution path would be split as well.

I would definitely like to see some more of the rarer Pokemon again, like Bagon, Beldum, Slakoth, Ralts, or Larvitar. The Dratini event was by far my favorite one out of the events so far.

For me, I am super excited with Charmander one. Dratini one barely give me excitement though.
I think Ralts or Larvitar/Beldum/Bagon would be possible. I spotted some Ralts, a Bagon and a few Larvitar in wild tho. But I don't think Slakoth is possible even tho I spotted a few in wild.

I'm afraid Larvitar isn't too likely as Tyranitar is a Raid Boss that tends to be available almost always because of its usefulness. So it is readily available.
All the other rare Pokemon seem better candidates.

For Beldum Community Day, I could see Metagross getting Meteor Mash as the exculsive move, which should be better than Flash Cannon and make it even more of a supreme Steel specialist than it is now. For a pseudo-legendary, Metagross is unfortunately still a bit underwhelming in GO, and such a boost could certainly help it.

With Let's Go, Eevee! being confirmed for Nintendo Switch, I can see Niantic doing a Community Day for Eevee. Or heck, an Eevee week instead. This will take place after August though.
Eevee is the only Kanto starter to not have a Community Day yet, after Squirtle, so this is, IMO, reasonable for Niantic to do one.

I already sent a suggestion to Niantic staff about Special Moves for Eeveelutions though. Dream Eater Espeon and Hydro Pump Vaporeon? Count me in.
