Actually, in that scenario, Charizard would die right on the second switchin. From earlier SR and Solar Power, it would have about 37% HP, meaning a second helping of SR would kill it right away.

In any case, my initial point still stands. Charizard cannot function effectively as a sweeper in the current OU metagame because it is too easily revenge killed or forced out.

I hate to say this, but Charizard is NU. Stealth Rocks just is too powerful.

I beg to differ here. With proper team support and scouting, he functions well as a sweeper after his main counters (Rock and Electric, mostly) have been eliminated. He works well in tandem with Doryuuzu who can Rapid Spin for him, the let him switch in on an Earthquake and sweep.

Charizard is basically more effort than its worth.

My advice regarding Charizard... if you want to use it, make sure you bring a Rapid Spinner with you. Otherwise, it's a sacrificial lamb.
