What video games are you playing now?

Pokémon Ultra Sun

I challenged Ultra Necrozma atop Megalo Tower, but my team was sorely underprepared. I then restarted and tried again using only Primarina and a beautiful Stakataka I’d gotten off the GTS a while back. I emerged victorious! I also got the Poipole from the Ultra Recon Squad and nicknamed it Elmer, just as I planned since before getting the game.

Finished up God of War and got all the trophies for it last night. Amazing game, I can't wait for the sequel. I've moved onto Nier Automata now. I've heard good things about it, so let's hope it delivers. I just finished the desert area a few hours into the game.

Super Mario 3D Land. This game has a lot of fun levels, and I like playing as Luigi.

Monster Prom (PC) - Done a few run throughs and I'm really enjoying it so far. Definitely one of the better kickstarters I've backed.

Kirby Triple Deluxe. Collected some more keychains.

Space Empires V: Well, it's been an interesting couple of turns. The three stealth cruisers have been prowling around in enemy space - unfortunately there few targets of opportunity to take out, which has rather turned this into a long-range scouting mission. I've moved Battlefleet Blue (Sinister) into Hesperos on the strength of that intelligence, to see if I can deal with a squadron of 16 Abiddon ships. Elsewhere in Klaestron I've abandoned the Klaestron II attempt - it's just too strong. Instead I'm hoping a quick planetstrike on Klaestron I will give me a space port with little fuss.

All this has made me rethink the way I do planetary assaults. I'm doubtful the Harrier-class will be up to the task of attacking fierce resistance, even in a squadron. Maybe I need a really tough assault ship, battleship-sized. The other option is to use stealth to conduct planetstrikes - perhaps using a medium freighter and a couple of escorting destroyers to get in close. In theory they'd only need to survive the withdrawal.

In any case I've finalised my design for the Osprey-class. No meson-blasters at all, just eight anti-proton beams. Both the temporal tachyon cannon and the time distortion bursts don't benefit from shorter ranges, so it just doesn't make sense to go for a further mix of gunnery

Monster Prom (PC) - Got an ending with Liam finally and went ahead and did an ending without asking anybody to prom. Now I'm trying and failing pretty spectacularly to manage an ending with Scott or Vera.

Space Empires V: I'd forgotten my treaty with Abiddon means we won't attack one another in Hesperos - which isn't such a bad thing as it happens. The Cue Cappa split their fleet, a squadron of 15 apparently trying to shelter under the arms of the 16-strong Abiddon squadron. An attack from Battlefleet Blue (Sinister) put a stop to that. 14 Cue Cappa ships lost to 2 of mine (HMS Diana and HMS Iron Peach). Those Gyrfalcon Mk2s are really too old for service now. I'm bringing up HMS Lazar and Arachneon along with a couple of destroyers from Wanduk - it's a bit of a ragtag force, but I believe I can destroy the remaining ships in orbit of Hesperos III and take the planet in one swoop.

The planetstrike on Klaestron I is going well enough so far. HMS Farnsworth got in there and survived the defences, albeit with some damage. I'm wondering whether I could move Farnsworth on into Galgamis and seize Galgamis I before the Cue Cappa realise what's happening. It's a bit of a gamble, but this way I could take a space yard, resupply depot and space port in one.

I'm keeping a wary eye on the finances again. Radioactives aren't anywhere near deficit yet, but it is time for some future planning on that front. I want to do a lot of refitting soon, which could drain the reserves. Much as I'd like to do a mass refit across all classes of warship, practicality dictates I'll have to keep with the Gryfalcon MkIIIs for now.

Space Empires V: Operation Keyhole's achieved its second real success - Klaestron I is mine. Interestingly it looks like planetary shields do nothing to defend against troop landings. Now I've decided to consolidate these gains, throwing up a few defences and ordering a space port and a couple of radioactives extractors built there. After the attack on Hesperos III, unless there's a chance to take IV as a target of opportunity I'll be recalling the battlefleet for a full refit, and to finish off the Xiati in Wanduk.

Radioactives are in decidedly short supply at the moment. I've pushed ahead with a mass upgrade of the weapon platforms across the empire, despite the expense. The old Bailey Mk1s were absolutely ancient anyway. Unfortunately I can only afford about half at the moment, accounting for attempts to refit all the Buzzard-class cruisers. I'll need to find resources to refit Battlefleet Green's Harrier-class planetary assault ships next turn, too.

I partly wish I'd agreed to the Dafumah's treaty changes before now. I thought they'd taken their entire home system, but it turns out there are SIX gas giants up for grabs, a whopping half of which have an oxygen atmosphere. Hopefully they agree to a closer partnership with a trade deal, since that'll drop a ton of resources right into my lap

Sonic Forces: Made a new character, played some levels, nothing overly exciting.

Digimon Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory: Just playin' through the New Game + file, growin' mah Digimon as I go. Up to Under Zero.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers (DS): Now able to buy Delta Dragonoid.
