Stardew Valley - Monday 1st Autumn, Year 1
Oh, the first day of the season. A time of frantic activity unmatched by any other day. It wasn't quite as bad as it could have been - I still have 22 corn growing from the Summer planting. I've added a plot of 10 cranberry and 10 grape vines to the East field; on the newer West field I laid out a big plot of 27 pumpkin. The sprinkler plots are occupied with yams and fairy rose for the moment - the third sprinkler plot has a few sunflowers left over that I might replace with bok choy or something in a week or so.
Chickens have started to lay. One of them, possibly Queenie, has taken it into her head to start laying silver-quality eggs. I may just put them away for cooking for the moment.
Tuesday 2nd Autumn, Year 1
Well, this was an eventful day. For reasons I can't explain. 12 of the pumpkin seeds have spontaneously fruited overnight. A frantic replanting later, and it begins to dawn on me that this means I can get three harvests out of that field this season, as opposed to two. Corn's coming on nicely.
Headed out to Cindersap Forest in search of forage to continue a Community Centre bundle. Leah seems to have had a similar idea, though given how much driftwood she has lying around it doesn't seem too resourceful to simply try to reach a fruit out of arm's length. Well, whatever. Immediately after that I find Jas managing to get herself lost and needing an escort back to the ranch. But between an early harvest and detouring by the beach on the way to town, I can complete one bundle and make progress on two more (Finish a third, actually, when I brought up a tiger trout later that evening).
Stopped by the library to give Penny a poppy for her birthday. A gratifyingly big impact to that.
Must remember to buy fruit tree saplings before the season is out.
