What video games are you playing now?

Did Mario Kart Wii and WiiFit Plus these past days on my Wii U.

LG: Made to Lavender Town.

I’m unsure about continuing other stuff and how I’d like to do it. I can always start a new adventure if I’d like. The main objective is to get Pokémon and build a team to win. I also figure out to buy some cases to store my games in sometime.

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia: 100% clear! Completed the Capture Arena and captured Regigigas to fill out the browser. Feels good.

Jak X: Also 100% clear! Well, for the Adventure mode progress at least, Gold Standard on all cups. I'll probably keep going back to it for a while, buy some of the unlocks from the secret shop and just generally enjoy this incredibly fun racing game that I didn't actually expect to be so legitimately good.

Still playing Guilty Gear Strive and XX, as well as KOF '98 Ultimate Match, '99, and SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. Mostly just playing solo and occasionally with my brother.

Aside from that, still on my replay of MGS2: Sons of Liberty. Just beat Vamp in the water filtration chamber, probably my second favorite boss fight in the game after the final Solidus fight. At some point I'll be coming up to the Arsenal Gear Jejunum part where I get to listen to eerie codec calls that freaked me out bad as a kid lol; before that though I need to help Emma get through a few areas, "kill" Vamp after he attacks her, meet up with Snake and Otacon, and watch her death scene.

Final Fantasy XIV [Endwalker]: Was playing it a lot for the first few weeks of the expansion, but as I don't plan on doing hardcore content this go around due to my husband's lack of time to do it with me, this has slowed. I'm still leveling up all my jobs to 90 gradually, and logging in everyday to do so for a few hours.

Pokemon SoulSilver: Been playing this on and off for a long while. The grind to Clair kind of stopped me in my tracks, but I transferred a Lucky Egg from one of my other Gen 4 games and it has gotten much more tolerable. I'll probably drop it again for a while though when Legends Arceus comes out.

Completed my replay of MGS2: Sons of Liberty a bit earlier. Still a great game that I enjoy going back to every once in a while. Now I'm thinking of replaying either MGR: Revengeance or MGS3: Snake Eater.

I might replay one of my PSP games as well, though I'm leaning toward either replaying my Japanese import of Kuroko's Basketball: Game of Miracles or Kingdom of Paradise.

I'm also still playing some KOF games and SNK Heroines.

Bastion: Not bad. Kinda simple, but incredibly vibey in a way I can get with. I'm enjoying it.

Spider-Man Miles Morales: Just started up and honestly this is exactly what I wanted. Takes what worked about Spider-Man adds some fun twists to make it a bit different. I also love fun little details like Miles flailing a bit while swinging animations.

Pokemon Shield: Glastrier has been located, but it went wild in the village so we had to drive it off. Calyrex made a flower petal and Peony used Glastrier's hair with it to make reins, so now we're heading to the top of the mountain to find and tame it.

LG: Decided to now nickname Pokémon and am training a Zubat (named Battina) and a Drowzee (named Mindy). Unsure about all the Pokémon transferred of what I should do with them. I can always do a new file.

I played a little Breath of Fire 2 again this morning. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but because I had obtained the Wind Shaman from last time I fused her and the Fire Shaman with Nina to significantly boost her power. This'll come in handy in a little bit. Then, I took Ryu, Rand, Nina, and Spar to Rand's old hometown, where we watched his mother Daisy beat him (and a St. Eva paladin) over the head. Then it was time to clear her land of all the "obstacles" (including one actual monster) before we went to Namanda to pray for a good harvest by giving a donation of 100 Zenny. Or, in my case, 2,000 Zenny, as doing so will allow the Earth Shaman to appear later on (and you have to pay then and there, otherwise she can be permanently missed). Then we returned to Daisy's home and Rand smacked the St. Eva paladin around for trying to build a church on Daisy's land, claiming she converted. What a load of slag. Ray tries to defuse the situation but Rand is having none of it. Now, we need to get to St. Eva Church, which means we need to fly. Which means we're coming to a big part of Nina's arc as we have to return to Wyndia in order to get access to the power of the Great Bird. Which means a terrible, heart-wrenching sacrifice is on the horizon.

Forgive the double post (although it's been a day since then) but I got a lot more done in Breath of Fire 2 today. First off, I traveled to Wyndia to have Nina meet with her father, the King of Wyndia, in order to undergo the trail so she can gain the power of the Great Bird. But it will come at the cost of her life and humanity. She's willing to go through with it in order to save the world from St. Eva. So, the party ventures into the castle basement, followed by Nina going solo into the final area, where she faced off against the guardian. It was a... pretty anti-climactic fight. All it took was one Bolt X (which also got a crit) to end the battle at once (it probably didn't help that Nina was not only Level 39 but fused with both the Fire and Wind Shamans, making her quite strong). After Nina met with her ancestor, the original Nina, it was time to get the ceremony underway... only for Mina to steal the Mark of the Wing, revealing she had been left in the dark about everything involving Nina's banishment. After watching her heart-wrenching sacrifice to become the party's wings in place of Nina, as she knew Nina was strong enough to face the evil that loomed ahead, it was time to head to St. Eva's home base.

After escaping St. Eva due to a resistance spy the party heads to CotLand to meet the resistance... only for Tiga (which, for fun trivia, who's name is actually based off of Tigger's name from Winnie the Pooh) to become smitten with Katt. One raid in the thieves' tomb later Tiga picks a fight with Ryu over Katt. One unwinnable battle later (as, hey, the hero has to lose every now and then, right? Just to be fair) it's time to attack Bando. Which was deserted. Katt used Frustration! It revealed a secret entrance. After dealing with the really annoying enemies down there, and needing to look up something on the Breath of Fire Wiki, I used the moving doorway puzzle to gather up all the items and find Suny the Holy Shaman. With her I immediately retuned to TownShip, defused Nina's current Shaman form, and fused her with both the Wind and Holy Shaman, creating her ultimate form. Now, you may wonder: why go all the way back to TownShip in order to gain Nina's ultimate form? Simple. Her skill: Banish. It sends all monsters packing without a fight when used, albeit it does have a chance to fail. This ability is a godsend in places with high encounter rates or ridiculously strong enemies, like Bando's dungeon (and the final dungeons), and it's far more reliable than simply trying to run. With this I can now tackle Bando's dungeon more easily without needing to stockpile items, which I was exhausting at an alarming rate because of how tough they were. Anyway, it's time to get back on track. My party is Ryu (41), Rand (34), Nina (40), and Deis (41).

Rock Band 2 Deluxe

About to finish the whole Los Angeles playlists. Since I'll be getting a guitar tomorrow (possibly), I'll do the RB1 Long Song setlist then.

Also, did you know "Green Grass and High Tides" has 42 overdrive paths? Because I forgot about it while playing it.

Halo Infinite is sooooo fun! The new event is also really cool though the challenges get annoying after a while. The campaign was a bit underwhelming but that's fine. I loved the characters.

Still playing Last of Us Part II. Took a bloody hour to kill the Rat King + its Stalker Form. Kept getting in my way when I was getting close to killing the Rat King...not even sure how I killed the stalker half.

Still playing Pokemon Shield. Trying to level up my pokemon so I can beat Nessa. Got another Eevee as I wanna evolve it into Glaceon due to not having an ice type (I think) on my team.

Haven't played Assassin's Creed Odyssey in a month. Trying to get Last of Us 2 done so I can focus on AC Odyssey as far as streaming goes. Not that it matters since nobody watches or comments on them (except the one time on a video when streaming one part).

I wanna get some other games though eventually that I can't play due to not having a Play Station Now account (really upset about that). Probably not going to waste my time with Assassin's Creed III Remastered anymore as I don't like it.

In the process of finishing an iron farm in Minecraft since 1.18 apparently generates iron ore in more dangerous places now.

Picked up Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace for the first time in a while. I did the events in Alohaha by battling Club Strong and freeing him from the Noise Card... only to watch Joker blow him up. Then Mega Man faced off against Jack Corvis. I was actually winning, mind, but it's a scripted battle that ends after a few moments. Then I watched Joker blow up Luna. Under normal circumstances I'd be find with Luna going boom, as I hate her with a passion (I hate the tsundere archetype, especially with how insanely common it is... Sonia rules!), and it is her own fault for getting in the mix, but I gotta play with the game's narrative so boo-hoo Luna. Then Geo and co got to WAZA HQ so we can begin trying to find Luna's fragments. I also did the optional battle with Cygnus Wing to get his card. After that Geo, Omega-xis, and Acid went back to Alohaha to track down Luna's fragments. After a long search I got all of them, only for Dealer to start their attack on WAZA HQ with Omega-xis clones. Went back on the Astro Wave and ran into Dark Phantom, which resulted in getting my first Noise Change: Cancer Noise. Not bad. Plus, thanks to the fact I had a second copy of MMSF3, with both files having beaten the main game, I added them in as Real Brothers, not only gaining their Noise Changes (in this case, Gemini and Virgo) but also their special white card collection and extra Link Power (106 from each). Now it's time to fight off Dealer.

Am on the part to reunite the Lilligant with her baby. I think of sometime starting a new file in HeartGold. It’s because I transferred my Kyogre before showing it to Oak. It’s my choice. I typed down the old file to remember.

Old file:

Team:
  1. Shiny Gyarados (Lv. 68) (Gender: Male) (Ability: Intimidate) (Moves: Surf, Waterfall, Dark Pulse, and Avalanche) (Item: Rawst Berry)
  2. Machamp (Muscle) (Lv. 90) (Gender Female) (Ability: Guts) (Moves: Rock Smash, Rock Slide, Strength, and Rock Climb)
  3. Shiny Rhydon (Lv. 57) (Gender: Female) (Moves: Cut, Stone Edge (with boosted to 6 PP), and Earthquake) (Ability: Rock Head) (Item: Chople Berry)
  4. Ampharos (Lv. 75) (Gender: Male) (Moves: Thunder, Thunder Wave, Power Gem, and Rock Climb) (Ability: Static), (Item: Destiny Knot)
  5. Egg (unsure what was in it)
  6. Charizard (Lv. 42) (Gender: Male) (Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Fang, and Wing Attack) (Ability: Blaze) (Item: Characol)

Now am starting this new adventure.

My first new HG file froze so I reset it. My first file, I chose a Cyndaquil that was female. In my official new file, I chose Cyndaquil again but a male and named him Arsen. In between, I continued my LG file. I’m figuring out what to do with every other file (especially my DP files since I play BD and same with C). My D copy has no serial number on the back and the Seal is dark too. Unsure if it’s a reproduction because I got it from GameStop in 2018. Gen V recognizes the cartridge. It was pre-owned. My SS is definitely a reproduction. The cartridge is lighter compared to HG, the seal is very dark, the back has a not well written Nintendo, and the serial code doesn’t match the front. Also, it’s pitched black for the Pokémon Casino as well that Gen V doesn’t recognize the cartridge and an error occurs.
