What was the first Pokemon you ever caught?

Heh, it was a Bidoof in Pearl. I remember that I had watched my cousin play Diamond weeks before (which is how I was introduced to Pokemon) and thus slightly knew how to play. So after getting to Sandgem Town, I bought a couple Pokeballs, went out, and caught the Bidoof.

... It was after I caught him that I realized the next route included the tutorial as to how to catch Pokemon.

My first game was Blue, and the first Pokemon I caught was a Pidgey I named "Bord", 20 years ago, so that darn digital bird is older than a handful of you youngins. Ever since then, the first flying type I catch in any game gets that magnificent moniker.

A Pidgey, from way, way, way back in Pokémon Blue. It came across as this godly creature from how it kept smacking my Bulbasaur around. Yeah, I was a bit off on that assumption.
