Why did I think jumping/rose bushes? I suppose she could have "eaten her gun" at the kitchen table with roses on it in a vase, but I guess landing near a rose bush would make the presence of the flowers more obvious (though less noticeable than, say, lying on a bed/in a tub covered with roses/rose petals)? Not to mention "standing in the rain"=outside. I wonder if her standing in the rain is directly connected to his seeing "blood and roses"....
