What would Ash do next if he becomes a champion?

If a 17 year protagonist needs to be ended, it should be with a big bang, not just..."yer a Champion now, kthxbai" tbh the writers would make him challenge more leagues, or challenge strong trainers around the world, maybe even get him to refuse the title like he did with the request of being a Frontier Brain. Many possibilities imo .-.

If Ash wins a league and becomes a champion, he should move on to the next region and find greater challenges.

With the new trailer dropping, it seems like Ash will, I'm excited for Galar and the dream matches and possibilities that occur because of him traveling to the other regions too!

I love it when these dusty old threads of yesteryear suddenly become relevant again. Remember when Ash could have caught a certain Eevee?

On the topic, yeah, I had difficulty believing he'd just settle down after one big success. His Battle Frontier triumph was indicative of this; at the time Ash turned down the Frontier Brain candidacy, he had only recently learned about this "Sinnoh region" from Gary's postcard, then he and Pikachu were effortlessly kicked around by a Sinnoh-native Pokémon not long afterwards.

It'd be wildly out of character if he ever turned down the chance to see a new land and new kinds of Pokémon at this point. Nothing really seems to beat the first-hand experience, as far as he's concerned.

And this lends to these questions:
What would or could make him quit?
Would it be possible for him to actually quit someday?
Does he now finally have an attainable goal for being a Pokémon Master (such as winning a world tour, maybe)?

I'd say why not either revisit some of the old regions or newer regions, Ash could even set out on another journey to try and meet HoOh again, or why not see him try to mega evolve some of his pokemon or try and catch a legendary one?
