I know similar threads have came up, but I'd thought I'd do a poll to see what people might like to see.

1) A remake of RS for Gen V, with Gen V style graphics, better music, extended storylines, added features and events, items and so on and a story thats partly tired in with the first Gen V game(s)

2) No remake, there is no point for one or I'd rather not have one

3) The original games just put onto DS cart so you could play them on DS instead of a remake

4) A combination of 1 and 3, let people who havn't or have played origianls get another chance, but let people play new games as well.

5) You may want a Hoenn game but not a remake, or you'd want something else in Gen V

My personal opinion would be option 1, Option 3 has less chance of happening, but it would be nice. And given the remake history, it will be time for RS remakes to happen in Gen V. One reason ebing that they are phasing out GBA carts and the DSi and future consoles not having a GBA slot

You forgot the DS (successor) shop download option, which to me seems by far the most likely scenario. A simple re-release on a DS card wouldn't be worth the likely price for many potential players, whereas a download can be priced lower.

But, would a download on that actually fit onthe DS? There is a limited amount of space for downloading using the shop, but HGSS still went ahead and it could have had a simple download for original GSC instead on the DSi (which isn't a sucessor). Anyway, for what I see, they remake games and make them better than re-releasing them.

Top option. 3D Hoenn ftw.

Remake would be nice, but I don't know about messing with the music. It's so good.

I'm sure they'll make a gba player item for R/S remakes just like they did in hg/ss. I completely about the music being awesome though.

That's exactly why I added the "(successor)" part. :| I do also doubt that the current DS has the memory to store it, but the successor is supposed to be an enormous leap forward in that respect, so the successor having enough space to hold it isn't far-fetched at all.

I'm really looking forward to the remakes, but I think it'd be an excellent idea to have both a remake and the original games put on the same cartridge, so we can choose. I'd like that very much, I think.
