Hello everybody! Boy I love making new threads.

Now, I'm new to PS and I have, I think is a balanced team.
Quagsire
Cinderace
Sylveon
Dragonite
Espeon
Raichu (A)

Unfortunately I am overwhelmed by "tires" or however you spell it. How do these work and why can't I battle with my team, like there are no legendaries like Arceus. Would someone please explain what these are. Please don't go into to much detail, I'm new to the world of Pokémon.

Hello! First off, the bulbagarden isn't connected to smogon. You'd be better off trying to ask in the Smogon Forums
(though be aware that they have much more strict rules on posting threads than the bulbagarden forums.
Secondly, the tiers on smogon(Ubers, OU, UU, RU, NU, PU and ZU) are usage based and are all individual metas. All fully evolved pokemon start in OU(NFE's start in NU) and each month, if they have less than ~4.52% usage in the tier, they drop down to the next tier. Also, a Pokemon can be banned from a tier if its too powerful(though it doesn't have to be in that tier to be banned). If a Pokemon is banned from OU, it goes into the Ubers tier, which isn't usage based. Most legendaries are auto-banned from OU because of their sheer power.

Edit: Just to clarify, a mon is OU can't be used in UU, a mon is UU can't be used in RU, and so on.
