I'm surprised to see that my personal favourite, Typhlosion, is currently in the lead by quite a big margin! I'm a Johto kid and Typhlosion will always be my #1 Pokemon partner.

For Gen 1 it has to be Gengar, with Vaporeon being a close second. The Gengar line was the only ghost-type in Gen 1, which I thought was so cool. Vaporeon is precious and my favorite Eeveelution.

Not too sure about Gen 2, but probably Lanturn. Awesome typing.
