Which Trio is used more?

I'm doing some "market research" and I'm trying to see which of the First, Second, and Third Gen. trios are used the most. Could I get some feedback?

Competitively....

For the birds, Zapdos is used way more than Moltress or Arcticuno.

For the Beasts, in my experience, Suicune, than Raikou, haven't even seen an Entei

For the Regis, I see Regice a lot, which I find strange, since Reigirock to me seems superior to it in the sense that it gets a special defense boost from sand, and has a good physical defense to begin with. Regirock is probably used more than Registeel, but I barely see any of those two.

Of which one is most used, Zapdos and Suicune seem about the same, but since Raikou is part of the beast trio and gets its fair share, I would say, collectively, the beasts are used more.

I'd say that all three Regis see fairly the same play (maybe Registeel a bit less), Suicune is far and above used more than the other two dogs, mostly for CalmCune of course, and none of the birds really see that much play at all.

Zapdos begs to differ, but really, it is below Suicune in usage.

Because a lot of the legendaries are decent pokemon?
I don't have many though, I've been trying to catch my Suicune in Firered in vain, and I still haven't come across it
I have all the birds, I used to use them more, now I don't.

I've seen the dogs a lot. Seen Zapdos a few times. Seen Articuno once or twice. Have never seen Moltres, the Regis, or the psychic trio(do they count?).

Simple. If you can find why people use any Pokemon, then you will have answered such a foolish question.

Also DuckgonZ, this was about former trios. If it includes the 4th generation ones than the pixies would take the win soley because of Azelf.

What about the Gen IV trio? I use Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf the most (actually just Azelf since Uxie is Quirky, Mesprit is Timid, and Azelf is Naive, making Azelf the only one with a good nature).

The first three generation trios are stupid. Why would you exclude the fairies, anyway? (Azelf is probably my favorite non-Uber in competitive battling, and Uxie is my favorite Pokémon overall, but it isn't as good competitively and mine has a bad nature.)

I think its pretty conclusive from May's usage statistics that the legendary birds are the most used Legendary trios out there, apart from the Pixies. Although, this in May, Zapdos has beaten Azelf on the usage statistics, but all three Pixies have actually made it to the top 100 as compared to the two Beasts and Birds, and the one Regi.

Stats don't lie, polls do. And these were compiled from way more than 49 members of Bulbagarden, some of whom may have jsut voted for their favorites.

Also I'd like to retract that statement of Suicune being used more. Zapdos according tot he statistics are used more always, and I've actually noticed seeing more of them.
