Why do you love or hate a pokémon?

This is more like the fans ruined it for you, not the anime.

Well I'd say it's 50/50 since the anime made it a lot worse by shilling Lucario throughout DP and XY. Their constant need to give Lucario endless amounts of hype is what led many fans to predict that Ash had a chance to get a Lucario back then, which only made matters worse.

And honestly, I do seriously wonder why the writers never went through with giving Ash a Lucario given how popular the species is.

The Ash vs. Hau League battle has lowered my opinion on Rowlet by a significant amount. It achieves big things, like learning new moves without putting in too much effort (like with Razor Leaf), or not getting scolded or karma for its falling asleep gag (like happened in the aforementioned battle).

I despise Ursaring.

Most Pokemon have kind hearts but Ursaring isn't one of them.

He is a ruthless monster, a raging god of destruction who eats cute little Togepi and other baby Pokemon.

I think Spearow & Fearow are the only ones that I really hate, simply because they are almost always portrayed as sadistic bullies in the anime. Even in the Sun & Moon games, they are bullies.
