One of the biggest questions the fandom has been asking for a almost a decade is how come the music tracks from BW-SM had never gotten CD releases. I am aware that 4 BW tracks were released on the first CD for the series when it came out, but since then we have only gotten BGM releases for movies, anyone have a logical reason why this is the case?

I would guess lack of demand. The anime's popularity peaked at the end of sinnoh, starting of best wishes, and it was a downward spiral after that. Likewise, the music from best wishes onwards simply wasn't nearly as good as the original soundtracks from series 1-13. So not only was the demand smaller, but the quality wasn't as good as well.
