Would you say the Eeveeloutions are more cat-like or fox-like?

Only Espeon seems mostly cat-like to me. Umbreon has elements of both a black cat and a moon rabbit.

I actually did a poll on this a while back. Fox won handily, no one thought it was cat-like at all.

I'd Say fox-like since Real Life Foxes actually change depending on where they're from; If they're from a Cold Environment they're White; If they're from a Forest, they're red, etc. . .similar to eeveelutions changing due to external forces. . .

It depends on the Eeveelution for me. Jolteon, Flareon, Umbreon, and Glaceon seem more fox-like while Vaporeon, Espeon, Leafeon, and Sylveon come off as cat-like.

To me some always came across as more cat-like and others fox-like, but for some reason my favorite eeveelution Jolteon gives me a dog-like vibe especially when I interact with it in Pokemon refresh and see it in the anime.

I've maintained that they are, cumulatively, a general mixture of cat, fox, and dog. Different Eeveelutions are a bit more like one or another but as a group I think it's pretty evenly distributed.

When I look at them I definitely see the look of foxes in them. But I've always gotten the vibe of them being dog like personally.

Even though they are canines, foxes have many feline - like traits. That's probably why Eevee looks like a feline and a canine at the same time while some of its evolutions tend to be more feline looking than canine looking and vice versa. This is why interpret them as foxes rather than felines.

Foxes are canids, not canines. Canids are the family Canidae. Canines are the genus Canis, which are dogs, wolves, and jackals. Foxes are vulpines, from the genus Vulpes.

If I had to pick, though, I'd go for foxes just because cats tends to be smaller.
