New Megas being announced at the moment: what are peoples thoughts? I personally am completely perplexed at how Salamence is going to be able to fly. And also: Mega Lopunny???????? Really?????

I used Altaria on my first Ruby playthrough so I've always liked it. Mega-Altaria isn't amazing looking, but I'll probably still use it. Super pumped that players get a shiny Beldum though, since that's number one on my list of shinies.

I don't know what it is, but it took until these leaks for me to realize how excited I am for these games. I'm looking forward to doing proper contests again, those were fun.

Am I the only one who thinks that M-Salamance looks like a UFO? I still can't decide whether I like it or not.

The others are pretty cool, though. 'Specially M-Lopunny. In fact, I may or may not have to incorporate it into my newest project.

Googling "Mega Salamence" reveals a lot of fanart that's honestly much cooler than the actual thing. Like someone on Twitter said, it looks like the Rebel Alliance insignia from Star Wars. It could be worse.

To be fair @AetherX, a lot of the fan art for Mega Evolutions are better than the real thing

I just hope whichever other Pokemon get announced are actually cool Pokemon that could either do with a Mega Evolution (ie ones with no evolution chain - Heracross, Aerodactyl, for example), or would simply look good with one (Dragonite - for the love of Arceus, they better not stuff it up). So far, the newest Mega Evos have not impressed me that much. How come we got Mega Sableye and Lopunny before we got any Megas from Gen V? I mean, Mega Samurott people - imagine all the swords!!!
