Writers' Workshop General Chat Thread

Depends on how you view it. Is it a workshop for a lone writer? Then it would be Writer's Workshop. Or is it a workshop for a bunch of writers? Writers' Workshop.

You say tomayto, I say tomahto.

...who pronounces po-tay-toe po-tah-toe, anyway?
My Spanish teacher in 8th grade did, but that was because she had the thickest Colombian accent in the known universe. Incidentally, she also couldn't pronounce the 'sh' sound. Considering there were three kids named Sean and a Sheila in our class, it led to lots of hilarity.

Honestly I think Writers Workshop makes the most sense. It's a workshop for writers, not belonging to them. Writer's Workshop is actually probably the most incorrect, since it's singular. But I do like Writers' Workshop for the sheer pretentiousness of it.

I really, really loath the fact that ff.net doesn't have automatic formatting for bbcode tags. My latest chapter is insanely heavy on italics and having to manually remove the tags and italicize the text myself is really grinding my gears right now.

PS the keys are still mine, regardless of whoever has them held prisoner

So there are multiple keys now?
If these keys are so precious, wouldn't making multiple copies be...dangerous?

That sounds like coward-speak! I made copies of that weird tape with the well, I made copies of that ring I found in a river, I can make copies of a key, no problem.
