Hate to throw you guys off of your "interesting" topic haha, but I have a quick question.
How do you guys go about writing an outline for your story, if you do. I am going to have about 7 hours of uninterrupted writing tomorrow(besides about 45mins for lunch) and I want to get some serious writing done.
I have an idea for a fic in my head and wanna start writing, but without a decent outline, my writing is just smudges on paper. Any suggestions?
I just scribble ideas down and start going from there. I usually plan my stories months in advance before I write them so I can flesh them out, I don't really get an idea and write it the next day - I would never be able to operate that way.
And for future reference, that question is better served in the General Writing Questions thread
Very well, I wasn't expecting it to be counted but I was still curious. Better luck next year, eh?No, new chapters posted after the self nomination period closed are counted in the Awards, so anything posted after the 9th NZ Time is not meant to be read.
We're almost halfway through the first "series", yes, but perhaps series is a bad way to describe how we're segmenting the story. When we originally came up with the concepts behind Storm Island, we wanted it to be like the anime, in that Andrea's time on Storm Island was to be divided up into four "seasons". By breaking it up in this fashion, it seems like it'd be easier as a reader to digest, rather than stare at a list of 100+ chapters. That, and it allows us to focus on subplots with more depth, giving us ample time to develop and execute them without stretching them too thin.Aren't you guys almost halfway through it?

Getting all the way to the final chapter of "season 4" is going to take years, and I'm thinking we might not even make it. But if we do, I'll feel accomplished on a personal level, even if we never receive any sort of professional recognition for it.
And I've had plenty of recent reviews for The Long Walk. Though, with any luck I'll have Chapter Eight ready for publishing by the end of the week!

You are literally the only author I've ever seen claim to have "plenty of reviews"
