How so? Seems like it would be easier…@Greninjaman
It depends on which region your story is set in. A smaller region would be harder than a big one.
Worldbuilding hard and not everybody into writing fanfics want to play around with every aspect of it, if at all, and those already inclined into worldbuilding would be making a whole fan region already.Sorry for double-posting, but I realised earlier that it's rare for fanfics to imply the existence of non-canon locations unless they're set in a fan region. Like, a lot of fanfics will list every main series region at the time as if they're the entire world.
That does make sense when you put it that way. Of course, I could have just the canon towns and cities and just add smaller things in between. Like ranches, forests, and caves and stuff.@Greninjaman
A smaller area generally means fewer locations. The reason why the anime expands the canon regions is to enhance the scope, and make it more suitable for a TV show--because the show would've ended a long time ago if it was limited to just game locations.
It's even worse when you consider text styles and horizontal rules. SO MUCH WORSE!Mood. It's a hassle when I want to make an edit and I need to update at least three copies of it (my personal copy, AO3, and here).
Is... is that really the workflow in FFN? Wow.It's why I deleted my FFN stuff lol. Can't deal with downloading and editing an HTML file every time I see an error on AO3.
It was fairly easy. All I really had to do was change the reason for Link going into the tree, since I was not following the main story of Ocarina of Time. It would be a bit odd if he got the Kokiri Emerald and then the story ends (though I guess I could have changed the purpose of the Emerald). What did you think of the story? I think I have improved greatly. Was the challenge easy? Hard? Somewhere in between?
