After you complete the national dex in Sword or Shield, you can get the Digimon DLC by going to Professor Magnolia's lab and paying 999,999,999,999,999 Pokédollars for her to upgrade your Rotom phone. Unfortunately, this is not possible at this time. Due to a bug in the code, all attempts at getting Misty's endings will result in the Everyone Dies ending. We are currently working to fix this glitch, but in the meantime, all other storylines are in mostly working order.

I have reliable information that Gen 9 will re-add the Bird and ???-type, in addition to introducing the Lunar-type. Moves such as Moonblast will be retyped to Lunar, as will all Pokémon that evolve via Moonstone, in addition to most space-themed Pokémon and a few others.
Lunar type will be super effective against bug, ice, grass, and rock, resisted by dragon, electric, fire, ghost, and steel. It will be weak to fighting, ground, and normal, resist bug, ice, grass, rock, and ghost.
