Welp, that explains why I wasn't able to vig MP back on N2. I'm thinking Caps's tinfoil theories might be worth looking into at this point, though I don't know if the Ereshkigal one really makes sense since the godfather is dead and she's been copchecked as town; that one really only works if both Eresh and Max were scum together.

but I'm not sure whether Elementar would've gone for a custom name like that for a simple Vig. @FinalArcadia are there other aspects to your role that set you apart from just your standard, garden variety Vig?

I'd mentioned this in that post where I said I was the Mecha Pilot, but I do have another part to my role, but I'd prefer to keep quiet on that since like I said, it could still be useful and I think saying what it is would make it less so. Again, I know that sounds very cage-y and suspicious lol, but I'm hoping I can make some strategic use out of it if need be.

Pika's responses look pretty good. I don't even know. I think the case for CO/Lone being the most likely scum is solid. I mean it's the only thing I can think of that would work right now.

Setup is either 5:2 or 6:1 and will be 4:2 or 5:1 by the end of the night. If I'm getting this right that means that even with 2 mafia we should be safe from -LO for another phase (i don't really know, -LO is confusing).

“I choose Pikachu.”

Max1996 and Pika_pika42 were currently battling on Pokémon Showdown, each having the exact same Pokémon in all six slots of their respective teams. Because of Greninja’s superior competitive use, Max was currently comfortably beating his counterpart, and the Ash-Greninja currently in play was sweeping the assortment of hatted Pikachus in his opponent’s squad.

“I win! That’s one for the Quote Book!”

“But… I didn’t even say anything.”

“Oh yeah, right.” Max’s celebrations were prematurely interrupted when DarthWolf approached him.

“Hey Max, may you please come with me?”

“Uh, hey. Sure.” The Greninja fan shuffled nervously behind the returning moderator, sitting down when the two reached Darth’s office.

“No need to be worried. Just want to ask questions about Elementar and MegaPod. I know you talk to both of them.”

“Yeah, sure. Is everything alright?”

“Sort of. MegaPod was captured last night. We presume it was romch, but we can’t tell because all the cameras were disabled. From our reports, he should be fine. They haven’t hurt anyone from our knowledge. Just kept them.”

“Okay, that’s good to hear then.”

“It is. You didn’t hear from him late yesterday did you?”

“No I didn’t. I was preparing my team for Showdown matches today.”

But they’re all Greninjas… “Alright. Also, did you talk to Elementar about anything related to what he was working on before the mass Amplification?”

“…No, I didn’t.”

Darth didn’t seem convinced. “Are you sure? It would help a lot in solving this.”

Max1996 shook his head frantically and gulped. “Can I leave now?” Darth nodded and leaned back into his chair. Max got up and sped out of the room, speedwalking down the corridor back towards his own apartment.

The population of Greninja plushies in Max’s room had significantly increased since his Amplification. He chucked his room keys, complete with his Greninja keyring, onto his bench, but stopped his actions when he saw romch sitting on his bed. The plushies that usually reside on the bed were scattered inelegantly on the floor, and a metallic disc was among them. Its red centre lit up the room in a dim, eerie glow.

“What do you want?” began Max.

“I’m here to commend your loyalty. It helps us. But it didn’t help you. Now we have a reason to take you.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” said Max as romch approached him.

“I think you do. Elementar told you about his EE project. After he hosted EMU, he didn’t want to actually be lost in existence. So he wanted to create his backup; an artificial intelligence system based on him that could take over his moderator duties if it was required. Why didn’t you tell them that?” When Max’s lips remained shut, romch continued, circling around him. “You must’ve thought he’d get in trouble. That’s quite admirable, saving your friend but leaving yourself vulnerable… Warped.” Warped Electrical’s holographic figure sprung to life.

“Yes?”

“What’s your goal?”

“To carry out my master’s wish. The world is a broken place, and nothing matters. He shall bestow their most precious gift upon them of all: total annihilation. He will destroy the corrupt world in which we linger, and erase the mess we have made. It’s what all humans subconsciously wish for; the sweet release from this hole.”

Max was shocked. “No, he couldn’t think that.”

“Well, he did,” assured romch. “And now, it’s time for you to go.”

Max responded by clasping his hands together, and instantly he was shrouded in a twirling storm of water. The swirl became a sphere, and burst around him, sending romch and Warped Electrical’s base disk back. The water u-turned and retreated to Max’s back, forming a large shuriken. This form shared traits of Max and a Greninja, seemingly being Max-Greninja.

“This isn’t enough to stop us. Your efforts are futile.” Warped Electrical sent small bolts of lightning towards the Amplifier, which was switched to its De-Amplify mode. He lifted the gun with levitation and indirectly pulled the trigger, blasting Max-Greninja in the chest. The member grunted and was sent back into the wall, disappearing in a burst of light that caused him to return to his normal self. After assuring that Max was unconscious, romch reached for his flip phone and called the Tool-Shed.

“Have you drained their energy yet?”

A distorted voice replied on the other end of the line. “Yes, sir.”

“Good… Start the mass De-Amplification process right away.”

“Of course sir.”

romch hung up the phone and clicked Warped Electrical’s disc off, sliding it into his backpack before commencing to sling Max’s unconscious figure over his shoulder.

Assuming you didn't mistype who you hid behind, did you get any kind of confirmation that your ability actually was successful? And for that matter, which Space, the original or Space upon subbing into the Cheff slot? Actually, I don't even know if that question is that relevant, I'm just very confused on how a) this is even possible when both slots Space was in are gone and b) if I understood your hider ability correctly, the benefit of hiding is that whatever would target you would instead hit your player you're hiding behind, right? Why not hide behind someone you think is likeliest scum rather than a player that is a total non-entity at this point?

I almost hate to bring this up because I'm not sure if it's too tinfoil-y and paranoia at this point is dangerous, but is it possible that these abilities from Kyriaki's role PM:

· 1 x Redirector: You can redirect who a player is targeting onto another player. You can do this by replying to this PM with Mess With [PLAYER 1]’s Head and Have Them Target [PLAYER 2]
· 1 x Bus Driver: You can switch two players around, and whoever targets one player, will target the other. You can do this by replying to this PM with Confuse the Heck out of [PLAYER 1] and [PLAYER 2].

...could have caused Max to get a town check on Ereshkigal way back? Ereshkigal was a suspect going into the first night phase with several people finding her actions odd (notably Seth Rollins, who was suspicious enough the he used his lie detector on one of her statements), I wonder if it's possible scum actually anticipated that and tried to clear her instead. It's just weird that N1 was the only phase that Max actually got a result, and the rest of the game he said he was roleblocked.

This whole business with hiding behind Space just makes no sense when - like I said - hiding behind someone you suspect most as scum seems like it'd be the most pro-town thing to do if I'm actually understanding the ability correctly.

Actually, I just double-checked. Space was the Night 7 results; I was too busy going completely bat$@$# in another Mafia game to remember to hide behind someone.

Honestly, I think the only reason I'm still alive is I'm completely harmless as far as the mafia is concerned.

And, you're correct. Unless I hide behind scum, I die if the person I'm hiding behind dies. I've been hesitant to reveal that up until this point, but this late in the game? Either I'll be wrong and die, or I'll live to the end of the game.

Unless scum is able to submit the actions of others, this could not take place due to Elieson's inactivity.

Our biggest clue to solving this game is what Elementar said about there possibly being a mislynch. A mislynch today would put the game at 3:2. There is only one possibility after this that results in a final day phase, and that is if at least one scum dies during the night. The only possible way to this is through a vig shot on mafia. This clears FA as town.

To check this, let's look at the possible ways Ereshkigal could die (they are the only other person with a role that could kill scum).

1. They could hide behind the target of the nightkill. If this is the case, then they must be town, and the game would end with the setup 1:2.
2. They could hide behind the target of the vig kill. If the vig kills a townie, the game will end regardless. If the vig kills scum, the setup would be 1:1 given a successful nightkill as well and the game would end.

This confirms that the only way for there to be an extra day given a mislynch is through a vig shooting mafia, combined with a successful nightkill brings the setup to 2:1. FA is town.

Nightwing is next most likely to be town given their neighbor claim; we know that one scum was already a part of the neighborhood, so the chances of there being two scum in the neighborhood are slim. Nightwing, if you're scum, gg and what a fantastic game you played.

That leaves Ereshkigal, CO/Lone, and Pika. Depends on who you trust most, I guess, since the other two are probably scum. I think the safest vote is on CO/Lone.
