SwSh Your Biggest Surprise in The Crown Tundra? (SPOILERS)

I think the sheer size of the Crown Tundra. It also feels like a huge step up from the Wild Area and the Isle of Armor. I found myself getting lost a few times and the winding caves and complex areas made me feel like it was a huge step in the right direction for Pokemon.

I saw your comment in another thread as well, and while I was also surprised, it does make sense. A NPC at the station there are a lot more rocky Pokémon than he remembers (and it's much colder). And through the 4th mission and dialogue it's implied Solgaleo/Lunala/Cosmog are responsbile for the appearance of the Legendaries, so possibly they brought in fossils as well

Omanyte's Pokédex entry reads that so many of them have been resurrected and released that they're becoming a nuisance. So that's probably the reason behind the other fossils being present too.
