Arcanine is not only my favorite fire type, but my favorite Pokemon as well. He is beautifully designed, is a great battler with really high stats, and it even looks like my pet dog.
Litwick line because it was the first inanimate-object Pokemon that I liked (next to Vanillite line)
Magmortar because the one I have is a POWERFUL mfer (thanks, original trainer who put him on Pokecheck)
Heater Rotom
I keep forgetting that Reshiram is part-fire type
And..
I don't know if I could pick just one. Some of my favorites include Infernape, Arcanine, Charizard, Ninetales, Flareon, Typhlosion, Houndoom, and Blaziken. Though out of all of them it might have to be a three way tie between Infernape (my first starter), Arcanine (used in several game teams), and Houndoom (awesome).
1: TALONFLAME!! It's such a badass fire/flyer (no pun intended) :sweatlol:
2: Fenneken line (Delphox has one of my favorite type combos, Braixen is cool for a pure fire type, and of course, there's Serena's Fenneken) :ksmile:
3: Heatran (It's freaking lava) :ching:
Kantonian Arcanine, it is so majestic and has a good movepool with moves like Close Combat, Wild Charge, Dragon Pulse, and Scorching Sands. That being said, I also really like Talonflame, Moltres, Salazzle, Chandelure, Reshiram, Ninetales, Typhlosion, and both of Charizard's Megas.
I have a number of favorites: Houndoom, Flareon, Fennekin, Ponyta, Litwick, Vulpix, Alolan Marowak, etc. Certainly one of those types where it's hard for me to decide between many very appealing Pokemon!
Flareon. It's the dictionary definition of cute and fluffy
But setting my Eevee fanaticism aside for a second, tied for first is probably Magmortar (yes really). From what I gather it's a deeply unpopular Pokémon, but I've always really liked the thing. It's got a cool, tough-looking design and is a nice evolution in a line that I originally didn't hold much of an opinion on. I used one on my team in Platinum and it was a great special attack powerhouse. It doesn't deserve the hate it gets!
Honorable mentions would go to Slugma, Blacephalon, and Lampent.
