Your favourite Pokémon of your least favourite type?

Can't decide between Normal or Water as my least favorite type. Normal types don't stand out too much to me, and as a type, it's not that useful. Between both normal and water types, a lot of designs seem to veer into the "generic bird/rodent/mammal/fish" area.

Favorite Normal-type would be Staraptor, since I have good memories of playing through Gen 4 with one. I also really like the Whismur line, and I find Togekiss quite lovely.

As for water types, I absolutely adore Binacle/Barbaracle for their hand monster design, as well as Wooper/Quagsire for just being really cute. I've also had some fun experiences using Gyarados in playthroughs too.

Dark type: Murkrow, Sneasel, Madibuzz....not bad. As for those that are secondary dark type: Greninja (athle tic), Sandile (cute), Spiritomb (scary in a good way) I down right like.

My least favourite type is Fighting, as it has too many ugly Pokemon, such as Blaziken, Primeape, Falinks, Conkeldurr, Throh, Sawk, Scrafty and Crabominable. That being said, I really like Mienshao for its high Speed, Regenerator and elegant looks.
Lucario, Gallade, Heracross, Breloom and Pangoro are great, too.

My favorite Pokémon of my least favorite type is also tied as my favorite Pokémon of my favorite type.

I don't really like fighting, but Lucario is my favorite. It's also tied as my favorite steel type.

Happy Azurill | Pokémon | Know Your Meme
I think Azurill is cute, but it isn't water. There is no reason what so ever for Azurill not to be a water type! it has a bubble on it's tail which means it needs to be a water type, which is the one thing I hate about Azurill, because it is not a water type!

My least favorite type is normal, but I have some favorite pokemon that are dual typed with normal as one of the types, for example: my least favorite type is normal, but I like the pidgey line. I also have favorite pokemon that start off as a normal type, but when is evolves it's normal type changes to a type like dragon, a pokemon like swablu that starts off as normal-flying, but when it evolves into Altaria at level:45 its normal type changes into dragon and is now a dragon-flying type.

My least favourite type is Rock, for two reasons.
First: For a type often touted by its in-game specialists as a defensive one, tough and sturdy, you'd probably be shocked to learn it's tied with Grass for the most weaknesses of any type. Not just that, Rock is also embarrassingly weak on that front to the point of making the normally fantastic Steel type look bad whenever they team up (even Grass and the overall pitiful Bug type pair with Steel better). Ice may have similar issues on defence but at least its specialists don't openly pretend their preferred type is something it isn't.
Second: Stealth Rock. A type this effective on the offensive end should not have an entry hazard that directly uses said type effectiveness for its damage. There's just too much Pokémon who get brutalized by Rock for this to seem like a reasonable mechanic.

My favourite Rock type is probably Cradily. I really enjoy how it puts together the two types who each have five weaknesses and yet it somehow comes out with just four of them. Cradily itself is also a very unique Pokémon in both looks and battling too; it's simultaneously a Rock type that isn't weak to Water and Grass, and a Grass type that isn't weak to Fire and Flying.

My least favorite type is Rock for how bland it is and how pointless it’s made by both Ground and Steel, adding to @Gengarzilla’s points.

My favorite member of it is Lycanroc. Great designs, an interesting take on wolves, a stat distribution that isn’t the generic “high defense and attack, poor speed” Rock types tend to have.

All forms are great, but I’d rank Dusk>Midnight>Midday. Dusk looks amazing and kinda makes Midday look washed out. I grew fonder of Midnight through the anime.

hey, I am wondering if you made that banner on a website. is that true? or is it a special feature that I don't know about.
This is off topic, but to answer your question another user made that banner on a website or application like Photoshop. There isn't a way to make banners on Bulbapedia. I've used a website called Canva to make some banners, and I know of a few artshops here on the forums where the artist will make you a banner (for free I believe).

Also, in the future it would probably be best to make a post on the person's profile regarding stuff like this.

To keep this post from being fully off topic, I'd also say that the Fighting is also one of my lesser-liked types due to how humanoid many Fighting type Pokemon are. That being said, there are some designs that I quite like such as Breloom (favorite Fighting type overall), Grapploct, Kommo-o, Chesnaught, and Heracross.

Since it was introduced, Fairy has consistently been my least favourite type. The whole 'pink/girly' theme never appealed to me, and I wasn't a fan of the ones we had in Gens 6/7. The fact it solely existed to nerf my favourite type (Dragon) didn't help either.

No prizes for guessing my favourite one though. My boy Grimmsnarl's got such a fantastic design, unique typing, 2 signature moves and is pretty fun to use in battle. It really feels like it's redefining what it means to be a fairy type - from being all about cutesy pokemon to resembling a more magic/mystical based type (especially with its Spirit Break move). There's a youtuber known as Lockstin who explains this really well, and his videos made me appreciate it on a whole new level. If there's more pokemon like this, or at least that stray from the norm in a similar manner, the type might even end up being one of my favourites.

On a side note, seeing my favourite character in Gen 8 turn into a fairy gym leader was pretty funny to say the least.

My least favorite type is rock and my favorite rock types are the Aurorus line, so beautiful; Cradily line, I love grass types and its designs; Omastar line and Tyrantrum line, all of them fossil pokémon. I also like Nihilego, Regirock, Magcargo, Lycanroc line (Especially the Midnight Form), Crustle line, Lunatone, Tyranitar, Corsola and Solrock.

My least favorite type is rock-type, but I think that there are some cool rock-type Pokemon out there. My favorite rock-type Pokemon are Tyranitar, Aggron, Tyrantrum, Aerodactyl, Lycanroc and Rhyperior.

I was thinking the other day about how I found a lot of Gen 6 Pokémon boring, and realised that part of it was because they treated the Fairy type as a novelty. They slapped it onto almost every cute Pokémon even if it didn't make sense (eg: Marill, Dedenne), and it also introduced three fully evolved pure fairies with extremely similar stats (Sylveon, Aromatisse, and Florges all have high special attack, special defence, and HP, and middling everything else), making them blend together. Later generations actually utilised the Fairy-type in a more meaningful way; Alolan Ninetales is the only one where it feels like a stretch.

I would have to figure out what my least favorite type is first. I would think it's somewhere between Bug, Poison and Fighting.

The former two I have just never found useful in-game, but their designs are also typically very hard to like. I mean I dislike bugs IRL, they freak me out, and poison types are just generally ugly, IMO.

Bug: I kinda like Snom and Frosmoth. Snom is cute, and I don't know why.
Poison: The Nidorans are kinda cute.

Now Fighting, I actually have found these Pokemon useful in game over the years. But design-wise a lot of them seem to be awkward muscular humanoids and that doesn't appeal to me.

Fighting: Lucario is kinda neat because of what it is based off of. There's also Zamazenta. I love the Galar legendary wolves so much. The Fighting type seems kinda tacked onto Zamazenta, but it's whatever.

My least favorite type is the fairy type. This is mainly because I struggle against them on most playthroughs, as my teams generally do not have steel or poison types, and thus I don’t really have any reliable counters. I also don’t like them on aesthetic grounds, as a lot of them are just pink creatures with nothing about them standing out from the rest of the fairy types. And the fact that a lot of them are stereotypically feminine bothers me.

My favorite of them is Primariana’s line or possibly Mimiku. This is mainly due to personal reasons. I don’t particularly like either design, but they mostly just were ridiculous powerhouses in a couple of playthroughs.

I had to put some thought into this...

I think that Fire is my least favorite type due to my love for Grass-type. I always have a hard time when the game hints the players to have one on the team to make the next gym leader easier to the point where nowadays I prefer to go with other options or just grind. I trained a Rapidash in Diamond but I disliked it and ditched as soon as I had the change and I started a new playthrough in Pearl with a Vulpix, evolved into Ninetales (I like them visually) but couldn't keep with it very soon in the game and decided to train a Chimchar beacuse I like it's evolutionary line. From this type my favorite Pkmn is Houdoom and the fact that it's only it's secondary type also says how I dislike Fire types.

I also don't like Psychic (due to Poison being my second favorite type). My favorite Psychic type (despite not remembering it as Psychic but wanting to always see it only as a Water type) is Starmie. I also had some fun time in Sapphire training a Lunatone, Claydol, Metagross and in HG a Gardevoir. After the reveal of Alolan Exeggutor, I found a place in my heart and courage to finally raise a regular one in AS and started to love it.

I also don't like Ice but since Abomasnow is also Ice type and I've raised some others (namely Walrein and Glalie in Sapphire), it's not my least favorite. My favorite one (despite having to yet properly raise one of it) is Cloyster.

Last but not least, I also dislike Bug type but since I like lots of Bug/Poison, it's not my least favorite. My most favorite are Scolipede and Venomoth.

This is a fun topic. I can only speak for myself, but thinking of my least favorite type was a good exercise in examining my preferences.

My least favorite definitely has to be Normal because I find it so...bland. So normal. Why be normal? But among those types, I love Slaking. It’s big, heavyset, and looks very warm. I bet Slaking gives great hugs and is never in a rush. It probably wouldn’t mind people using it as a pillow.

An honorable mention goes to Fighting types, which are perhaps my second least favorite. I guess I find many of their concepts to also be bland. If I just wanted to punch and kick things, I’d play Mortal Kombat. Still, I have a soft spot for Heracross. It’s strong, armored, and imposing, yet it likes to drink sap and has cute eyes on its alien, insectoid face. I’d give Herecross more than a few pats on the head.
