Well I have several team sset up in my PC bu tSo far I only have two fixed up...

abra (synchronise ability - various natures - often switched)

kangaskhan (scrappy to hit ghosts - sucker punch / reversal / endevour / endure)

dragonite (HM's 1, 2, 3 & 4)

poliwrath (damp ability to stop exploders - HM's 5, 6, 7 & 8)

breloom (poison heal ability to prevent inadvertent poisoning - thunderpunch / false swipe / spore / stun spore)

claydol (dig / headbutt / flash / teleport)



as you can probably tell my in-game team is for travelling & catching only - the abra goes down with 1 hit but does it's job - gets switched out when EV training a pokemon

Once I got to the Mt. Silver summit, Red destroyed my entire team with just his Pikachu alone... So, I ditched the team and imported my 80ish team from XD: Gale of Darkness. Haven't used them since.

For HMs, I used the Red Gyarados, Togetic and Furret. Togetic was a party member for a little while but I replaced it with Hypno.

I've restarted my game twice, and my current team is having less problems than older teams:
Exeggutor
Parasect
Vileplume
Victreebel
Meganium
Jumpluff

Grass-type has always been my favorite type and this is the first time I've played the game with a "same type" team. I never used a pokemon that wasn't on this team in any battle. I've beaten Lance after the Elite Four and I've already defeated 5 or 6 Kanto gym leaders.
