The best Donkey Kong game was 64.

Heresy! (Not really, but I do believe Planet Robobot is better)That reminds me... My favorite Kirby game was Kirby 64. No other Kirby game has been anywhere near that enjoyable for me.
Even the DS remake looks real blocky. Seeing it on the Switch, remade, would hopefully make it less painful on the eyes.I don't like Super Mario 64. Specifically the graphics.

Open world is absolutely pointless if most of it's empty. Having it just for the sake of having it does absolutely nothing to a game. Exploring a barren wasteland with nothing of note just makes a game look unfinished.I don't see why a lot of people think all RPGs should be open world and/or Action RPGs.
Bragging rights rewards, and sadly, things like this are everywhere and are pretty old. A good example is the motorcycle(?) from Azure Dreams, which you can only get by the end of the game, and its only function is to make you move faster around town. To make things worse, the bike's shape is... unfortunate to put it mildly. This leads me to the other aspect I didn't like, why do you have a super cool motorcycle in the game if you intend on making it available right as an endgame item? I just don't like the idea of endgame items being the best thing ever since they come way too late for them to ever be useful.
Another example is the Mirror Shield in the Minish Cap, which BTW it's usefulness is deflecting arrows back at enemies, you can only get that after defeating Vaati. I sure could've used that when there were like a million Moblins shooting arrows toward me.Bragging rights rewards, and sadly, things like this are everywhere and are pretty old. *sigh* And unlike the GBC dual games, there's no New Game+ to make use of it.Another example is the Mirror Shield in the Minish Cap, which BTW it's usefulness is deflecting arrows back at enemies, you can only get that after defeating Vaati.
