"He just returned from a mission that could have killed him if I wasn't there, has been debriefed and yes, he's eating in his quarters. Let him." Tia said, leveling a small glare on Neil.
"Yes, now come on. I believe the big wig behind this shindig wants to speak to you." Tia said, gesturing them to follow. Dante shrugged and exited through her side. Patrisha exited out loopy and dizzy.
Hobbs ate through the meal in a flash, but savored each and every bite. "Tell Tia that I said thanks. And I have a feeling that it's time to brief the group on the assault plan."
"It's official. Tia beats everyone in awesomeness." Neil stood for a bit, looked at it, and said, "I will be having so much fun in there, later." He turned back and continued walking with the group.
"I thank you for the compliment, Neil." Tia said, arriving at a check-point. "Hello, Ms. Hallibel. Who's the oddball bunch behind you?" A SSO guard asked. "This is the other help I and Sgt. Hobbs spoke of: Dante Martinez, Jonathan Walker, little Patrisha Asher, and Neil..." Tia paused as she didn't get Neil's last name.
"Let's hope he's not like Harvey." One SSO checkpoint guard joked but was slapped upside the head by his colleage. "Not cool, man." A metal detector was ahead. "Please put metal objects into the bins and walked through." "What is this, airport security?" Dante muttered, placing her weapons, ammo, anything metallic into the bins. All she was reduced to was herself without a belt buckle, a jacket, and shoes. The latter also went through the scanner. Patrisha did the same, reduced to a similar state like Dante, only she was crutchless.
Hobbs walked out of the room to see the scene. "Hold up men. Let them have their things. But not the weapons. Frightens the brass to see weapons held by non-guards inside a command center." The guards, after giving back their things, saluted and walked away. "This way. We have a lot to talk about."
