    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

Four. Through careful observation I've come to the conclusion that there are four normal non-blinking, non-glittery, or whatever you choose to call those patches that light up. Put simply, there are four types of patches that do not light up. I call any patches that don't light up normal...

Yes, on Route 222 they can be found at level 40.

Here's the data on that Skitty chain I had going, if you guys are still looking for this stuff. I don't know how many steps it took to get the shiny at 37 nor do I know how many it took to reach 40. 41: 6163 steps and 123 resets 42: 3310 steps and 66 resets 43: 2413 steps and 48 resets...

Route 222 is a dream for chaining! There are a couple of sweet spots there in the middle that, when stood in to reset, will have all four shaking patches guaranteed to be seen within the grassy area. (Unless of course one shakes behind your head.) I managed to get a chain of Skitty, swarming...

Sixty resets can be a drop in the ocean sometimes. What I find myself doing after I reach 40 in a chain and I start getting bored or tired after I have been resetting for a long while is to close the DS so it goes into sleep mode, plug it in, and walk away. This way, you can go back to it...

    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

I'm certain I was wrong with all that. Sometimes they break and sometimes they don't. Very confusing and frustrating. What I suspect is going on with those and also when a chain that seems to be right in every way breaks, is that it actually wasn't right even though you might think it was...

    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

Uh-oh. Looks like I wasn't as clear as I had hoped. I was actually talking about those NON-glowing normal wiggles. ;-) In this post Shuko explains the types of grass shakes. Then she goes on to say: I've always thought, and assumed everyone else did too, that there were only two...

    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

Hey everyone! I'm still here and have been observing all the data collecting going on. Unfortunately, I don't have any data to add to that mostly because I've been having trouble getting chains past thirty. I say mostly because I've kind of been working on finding something else out-- Why...

    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

Hi Nicole. I really feel for you having so much trouble getting shinies. You've said you've run out of 500 and 700 super repels while resetting? That's got to be really frustrating. I'm wondering where you position yourself when resetting? I find that it's best to try to fit all of the 9X9...

This is the most likely reason, Alen. I've heard others say the same thing. Was the patch that broke your chain next to any non-grass patches? Although if I understand you correctly when you say... Are you saying you only saw two patches of grass shake? And the one you went to was five...

You're referring to the Ralts chain being broken by another Ralts? I've had chains break like that once or twice before. I can't really say why it happened to you without actually knowing or seeing what exactly happened. And even then it's hard to say what causes some chains to brake...

    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

If you've been having them break on you then, yeah, I'd say it's best to reset. Or maybe just reset them when you've got a high chain going. Like once you reach 20 reset combinations that you're not comfortable walking into or have been giving you trouble for some reason we've yet to figure...

    Shiny Pokémon with the Pokéradar

That's cool! Yeah, I know. I'm not absolutely sure if that's the reason those chains broke though so it's really just a theory on my part. A theory that I'll admit could be completely wrong. I haven't been able to duplicate that particular pattern (3-3 and 4-6) yet to see if it's a chain...

I'm happy you like like it! Thanks for giving it a try and also for the feedback.

Ah, yes. I thought that might be what you meant by confusing. I guess you didn't follow the link I placed at the top of that post you found confusing? That is what I was referring to. You can find the post that explains my chaining method by clicking these underlined words right here. :-)
