You're referring to the Ralts chain being broken by another Ralts? I've had chains break like that once or twice before. I can't really say why it happened to you without actually knowing or seeing what exactly happened. And even then it's hard to say what causes some chains to brake...

If you've been having them break on you then, yeah, I'd say it's best to reset. Or maybe just reset them when you've got a high chain going. Like once you reach 20 reset combinations that you're not comfortable walking into or have been giving you trouble for some reason we've yet to figure...
