Re: Trainer's Travelog
I went into the gameboard thing, I expected another 3, but it started a special event (with the mug-shot VS intro and stronger opposition) and it gave me 20BP for scraping through it. So apparently you need to win a pittance a few times to get a chance at a jackpot.
Re: Trainer's Travelog
Is there a best BP/time event? I was very disappointed to see my best payment being 3BP and seeing the TMs and items I want being tagged at up to 48BP.
I just capped my Suicine. Average IVs, but 31 in Speed.
Is that how it calculates the drop? I haven't paid too much attention, but I know that it sucks. They'll even drop you for quitting early, I don't know how it's figured either.
You won't see one for quite a while, but it will appear in Battle Frontier.
Why did they make the starter types so imbalanced? Water and Fire both are something like 4 types Super, 4 types Ineffective. Grass is something like super on 3 and ineffective on 7.
Re: Trainer's Travelog
Since you are only violating your parole once nightly, more steps would just give you excessive wattage to spend on item and course captures and further path unlocks, so it's not a big deal, but any on-your-feet job should be enough to get 20k in a normal shift.
Re: Trainer's Travelog
But if you're unable to play, how are you checking them back into the game to ding the levels? And if you are able to check them in, one a day seems pretty light. One working day = 22,000 EXP without gaming the device.

No, only one. That protects you from leveling through important skills. Check your EXP to next so you don't over-walk if you want to pick up multiple levels quickly. It's one EXP point per step.
Actually, for Hurdles you want to tap just as the critter (good word choice) is about to trip. With birds, they stay up long enough that you can ignore them and take care of your fat kid (like Typhlosion) while the feathers float over the next set.
For Goal, I usually start with two goalies...
I didn't think it was too bad, but I don't really enjoy it much. Getting 1st in all five courses was a fine goal. Getting 1st with one species of pokemon in all five courses was fine, too, though I was kinda cheated since my Ampharos had all five but they were split between evolutions and...
So discussing VOF wins and technique is a waste of time, compared to:
"blab about what you are currently doing in the game" (SO not a blog)
"blab about how well you can trick the pokewalker into giving you free steps" (cheaters gonna cheat)
"blab about which legendaries you didn't use Master...
Re: Trainer's Travelog
They aren't too bad, but be ready to use power items like Max Revive. Once you are through it, you'll be picking up plenty more. (I got 9 since the first E4 round. Why do we call it E4? You don't get to leave after 4. You get kicked in the balls by Lance after 4.)
Re: Trainer's Travelog
I'm working through the E4+L. I haven't lost in the last two runs, and am making about 50k after replacing the spent potions and revives that way.
