I think that Hatenna and it's evolutions, by extention would be nice for Ash. It's both a Psychic and Fairy type, which one Ash barely uses and another he never did. Besides an slower Pokémon could make him think of another strategies.

He could capture Pokémon in either it's final stage (a mon that doesn't evolves or a 2-stage mon), or a 2nd stage of a 3 stage line tho.

But a Hattrem or Haterenne swinging at him everytime he gets excited would be pretty funny as a gag if they don't overdo it tbh lol.

Still holding on to a Impidimp or Hatenna. Maybe both? :unsure: I just want it be a Galar mon.

I know that. But considering he does something in every single episode even when the focus is not on him, it does gets tiring after a while. I don't think it ruins the episode or anything, but leaving Goh behind to focus on Ash is not a bad thing.

But this obviously means Goh will do something in a Ash episode. AGAIN. Is it this hard to just leave Goh in the sidelines for once?
