    I just finished watching the episode with subtitles. I now understand a whole lot more about it. What made Ash so gloomy was his class drop. He realized that he was trying to use a battle strategy he hadn't properly trained at. And in the end, he even calls out his own stupidity.

    I too want Goh to use better Poké Balls, but I personally don't see it as a glaring problem for most of the time.
