I'm keeping on writing for the "Flowering Love" contest. The only spoiler I'll give is that both characters are from Legends Arceus. Right now I'm at +2200 words so far.
Got back into that Prologue (yes, that same prologue again) and wrote a part that has about the same plot as this video, but with a pack of biscuits instead :
I can't believe it myself, but I actually ended the part I was stuck in thanks to an early text meant for another side of the story draft, which I could expand upon in this specific part since it was meant for a "cooldown time/filler" type of part. Also I got to showcase Palkia as a terrifying...
Added an actual first paragraph before those I've written for the story draft I'm doing. It wrote itself, and it helps that the context of this paragraph had "lo-fi girl" written all over it \o/
Finally managed to put down F-Zero 99 for one day to focus on my story draft. I even had to look at previous parts just to make this next paragraph accurate enough.
But hey, progress !
Writing a part where a character gets to relax by watching the starry night skies. And by relax, I truly mean just relaxing, not being on guard for potential threats or anything. Listening to Legend Arceus's Midnight Theme helps in setting up the mood.
If I'm being honest, I've been writing a lot of the draft fic I have in mind lately, especially since I recovered the data from my dead laptop. Right now, the MC is on Iron Island and has met up with Riley.
I didn't get to say this sooner, but I got to write a lot of the 21st part of my draft story while I was on vacations. Turns out being away from work AND not having to be aware of everything around me is good for getting around writer blocks.
Finally stopped procrastinating and got to start including a certain International Police officer. I dunno how much of a role he'll have in it considering what I'm writing is a huge draft to iron out later.
I got done writing a Gym Battle between Barry and Crasher Wake. I did take some liberties with Barry's Platinum team (Buizel isn't even there, instead being a freshly caught Pokémon and is replaced by a Luxio, which has its own reason for being there), but boy making the battle coherent while...
I managed to find a way to incorporate Barry in my storyboard. Mind you, he's gonna be a minor character in the story but I just wanted to have something to write for the little guy.
Got done with another part of my story draft. And pondering about how I'd handle the speech patterns of the main character once I get to write the story for realsies.
It would be almost today since I wrote it as it was about to hit midnight where I live, but the Flashback mini-story I posted in this forum is actually a small part of a big crossover story draft I've been thinking about for a very long time, but have recently begun to write after much, much...
