There’s quite a bit of a stretch of willing suspension of disbelief in that Sakuragi has a full on echo system at his lab to house Pokémon yet apparently only has enough supplies for a single day and no backup to the point that this becomes an issue especially when Go keeps bringing in new Pokémon.
If there’s one takeaway from this episode, it’s that Go should probably never capture a Snorlax or Munchlax. Sakuragi Park is apparently so ill equipped on food to the degree that the food going missing didn’t result in them just getting more out. They’d never survive such glutens.
