The fact that a minor league still exists makes it impossible to say that you don't battle any leaders in the minor league. I don't see why they would even establish a minor league at all if you end up never fighting anyone from it.
I also think it will be this. Major league is required for qualifying into the champion cup. Minor league is 'just for fun' (aka additional challenges that you can beat, but don't work toward qualification for the champion cup).
True. I forgot to mention that it should include level scaling. Like if you battle Nessa first, her Drednaw is Lv 19, or Lv 24 if you already have one badge, etc.
Yeah I'm still hoping against hope that they do incorporate a beta "choose your gym order" concept.
Gamefreak's whole thing is slowly trying something out, like this Wild Area that will assuredly become what the whole game is like in the future. So I am hoping they try out a "choose your order"...
I actually thought Kabu could also be like "kaboom", the sound of an explosion. Most related to fire. Regardless, 'ka' is what the kanji for fire is often read as (like Kayoubi), so there is that connection as well. And like what was pointed out above, the inside of the gym area has fire-colored...
There is no chance that any of the gyms will have an old Pokémon with no new evolution or gigantamax form as their ace. Either Hitmontop and Mimikyu have gigantamax forms, or they're withholding their real aces until later reveals.
I'm currently leaning toward the latter, because who knows if...
I think it would add great individuality to each player's gym experience if there really was a combo of version exclusive gyms and choosing your gym order (to an extent). Choosing between challenging Milo or Nessa first could be an easy way to introduce the concept... They only need to program...
I think it'd be funny if, after months of "is it fairy or poison" for the forest gym and "is it ice or dark" for the snowy gym, it ends up being both for both. Although, ghost and fighting weren't even on the radar for the mountain gym.
I see fairy/poison for the forest because, like...
Thanks! I've been wondering. I figured out nikui but didn't know the word ikusa so I was stumped. I love that they're doing this.
On the topic of the gyms on the map, it looks to be a mix of the two (orange and purple). Do any other gyms have a mix of colors on the map?
They've been alternate universes since the beginning of the franchise. Why could you find different (version exclusive) Pokémon in each game that didn't exist anywhere in your region, but existed in this other game's region? They're just getting more creative with it.
I'm really thinking that her team will change for the final game, including her number of Pokémon. Drednaw will probably be her true Ace because her uniform matches it, and it is likely the reason they revealed it in this first batch of reveals instead of later on. However, she probably only has...
The demo is official material as well, and all of it is for the same purpose: promotion. They contradict each other, meaning nothing is set in stone either way.
Yeah, it disproves nothing. The gym leaders can very easily be coded to have different teams (or team levels) based on the number of badges you have when facing them.
It's something I don't understand why they haven't tried doing ever... I get it is slightly more challenging to open things up...
I've always wondered why the gyms aren't like how they are in the anime, where you can only use the same number of Pokémon that the gym leader uses. I'd love for that to be added to the gym challenge this time. For instance, the gym 'master' has 4 Pokémon, so you are only allowed to use a total...
I'm really hoping the gym in the Manchester (I think? The industrial one) town is fire, and that you can choose what order to challenge that gym, the grass one, and the water one (assuming the port city is water). I'm definitely team "choose your gym order", and it honestly is not hard to code...
