I forgot a very important thing: back in early games, Psychic types were about the strongest. Too bad nowadays they have been nerfed to death, so much so that the type is no longer my top favorite.

That's why I'm really hoping that Gen 9 games are completely open world (the franchise needs that a lot IMO). And this. Gym leader and (I shall add) trainer rematches are fun because of the easier grinding, but also because you kind of see their Pokemon grow. I'm glad this feature at least was partially present in Galar with the possibility of rematching the Gym Leaders in the Finals.
