Ha... I finally got a shiny Clauncher after who knows how many eggs! It is not my first shiny for sure, but this one has been the most difficult and my second Masuda shiny (The first one was a Quaxly). It is such a good shiny. One of my favorites!

I agree that getting a shiny eariy in the game doesn't guarantee a spot in the team. I haven't used the first shinies I got, and I am playing a second playthrough to try new Pokémon and get another Koraidon for my future Home dex. I did get a shiny Makuhita encounter, but due to me being dumb, and because I had autosave on, I killed it and never got it back. Later on I got a shiny Hoppip out of one of those five group ones. That I did catch. So people, if you care for shinies at all, do play with autosave off and hard...
