Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Nah I’ve liked Gen 4 since way before it was due for a remake, but I think “obsession” is a bit of a stretch.

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

The thread is for gen 8 wishes, so no worries with speculating on the DP Remakes. Though there is a dedicated thread for that as well.

They also gave Lightning Rod to Goldeen and Seaking and Sap Sipper to Marill and Azumarill. Levitate was also given to Steel-type Bronzor and Bronzong and Rock-type Lunatone and Solrock.

Are you talking specifically about Flash Fire?

Yeah I agree, I never understood why Run Away doesn’t just grant the user immunity to being trapped like the Ghost-type.

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Honestly most of your ideas and posts are just random streams of consciousness that don’t necessarily have any substance or basis and then when people point out that this might not make sense or might require more thought, you say they’re negative vibe oriented lol. Sometimes people would...

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

I think u meant Night Daze. Dark Void is a status move that’s Darkrai exclusive. We also technically have Hidden Power but I can see why you wouldn’t include that. Snarl isn’t limited to only canine Pokémon. I think nearly every Dark-type learns it. But, yes, overall I think making Ghost-types...

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Ehh I just don’t really see how a Pokémon’s type would affect its ability to dodge an attack. And basing it on weight or speed would just be needlessly complicated imo. I don’t think there has to be some way to modify accuracy for all or most status moves.

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Yes, this concept was responded to in the last few posts of the previous page. I stated that I don’t think accuracy is a good way to account for type effectiveness in non-damaging moves and further I don’t really find it necessary to account for effectiveness in status moves anyway. Oriden made...

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Thank you for clarifying, this makes a lot more sense. I just wish they had said this in the first place instead of assuming I was being purposely obtuse... Anyways, yeah I agree that accuracy probably wouldn’t be the best way to replace effectiveness mods on Status moves. I’m not even really...

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Again, there is zero argument. Arguments are contradictions of opinions. As Techskylander posted proof of and Oriden has stated several times, the fact that Thunder Wave is classified as a Status move is just factually how it is classified by GameFreak themselves, and the fact that status moves...

I...have no idea? I stated a fact I’m not even sure what the argument is in the first place lol

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Thunder Wave is a status move that doesn’t do any damage. It doesn’t receive any effectiveness modifiers.

I don’t really see the point in this. If the move is already less effective, surely you wouldn’t need to de-incentivize using it even further.

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

I mean that’s obvious lol amiibo are never required to beat the game. Mew isn’t required to beat LGPE either, but it’s still technically locked behind a paywall. Paying to unlock features (no matter how optional) isn’t something I’d like to become a regular thing in Pokémon.

Things you want to see done in Pokemon Gen 8 (2019)

Nahhhhh I really hope Pokemon doesn’t start locking things behind amiibos in their main series games. Sword and Shield are already costlier than most previous main series games as it is. Even the Pokeball Plus seemed like rather needless spending to me just to get Mew and a few bells and whistles.
