hi all ,

just bought leaf green, and i always tend to go 4 the same sort of pokemon through the game for example , i always catch a magikarp to evolve into gyrados , always a pidgey to evolve and a nidoran etc, im kinda bored of always havin the same pokemon, i cant trade my larvitar or anything over yet so just wondered what you guys reckon i should go for ? :)
 
Spearow is fun to use. He murders all the bug-types that most of the early trainers have.

Mankey isn't a bad choice, and is effective aganist Brock, very useful if you choose Charmander.
 
I always use PIkachu, he's my favourite. I don't like evolving him either.
 
I also use Pikachu, very useful. I evolve it ASAP. XD

Go out there and catch everything in sight; then assemble a team that fits your current needs.
 
Get the national dex and you'll be able to get Larvitar in Seven Island.
 
I used Pikachu too, I believe, my first time through FR. I try not to evolve stone-evolving Pokémon (besides Eevee) until much later in their training, though, so they can learn all of the moves they do.
 
My Magnimite that evolved into my Magneton. Holy crap, that thing has got me out of some realllly tight spots.
 
Im like you, for a change, why don't you catch a weedle?Beedrill will help against Sabrina(Pin Missle) or a ratata/raticate? My team is alwas Pidgeot,Charizard,Pikachu,Executor,Rhydon, and Alakazam.
 
I seem to always use the same team too. Charizard, Lapras, Pikachu, Pidgeot, Victorybell, Alakazam. And thats only 'cus I'v just got LG and Emerald but only my DS :(
