Re: Pokémon USA and Pokémon UK merge: Globally under "The Pokémon Company Internation

Oh crap. I had pretty much the same reaction to Doctor Oak here. This can't have any good impact on the UK.
I'm pretty sure the anime is being effected by this- airing in UK before USA.
This has nothing to do with it. Jetix just ran through their batch of episodes faster than the American Cartoon Network did.

It's happened before with our own Cartoon Network. They aquired Pokémon Chronicles before any American network wanted it and then went on to show a number of Advance Battle episodes before America through the same five-episodes-a-week format Jetix is using now. (Which resulted in us getting the edited opening of that season an episode later than in America.) The only reason it hasn't happened in the last couple of years is because they got a little too focused on Johto and let the schedule for newer episodes slip behind. Even before then, Sky One aired one episode a week and was still a few episodes ahead of America a lot of the time.

When the next season starts and ends on British television fully depends on Jetix and CITV. When it starts and ends in America will be a sperate decision independently made by their Cartoon Network.
